Raszageth

Raszageth the Storm-Eater is the final boss of Vault of the Incarnates, the Season 1 raid for World of Warcraft: Dragonflight. She believes that dragonkind was meant to be free and roam the world at will. She's not the only danger over Azeroth; she's attempting to free her fellow Incarnates from their prison.

Our guide will cover everything you need to defeat Raszageth and clear the Vault of the Incarnates raid.

Raszageth Abilities

Note that any numerical values are based on the raid’s Normal Mode.

Raszageth Strategy Guide

Raszageth is no pushover, but we're gonna help you defeat her. This is a three phase fight with two intermissions.

Raszageth Phase 1

This lasts until Raszageth is at 65%. Tanks will have to swap after each stack of Electrified Jaws. Healers will need to power through Electric Scales. Make sure you don't get pushed off the platform. If you're targeted with Static Charge, run away from the raid to a pre-assigned spot to prevent damage going out. When Raszageth reaches 100 energy, she'll cast Hurricane Wing. It will cause a pushback; don't get knocked off. Use the Static Charge pools to slow you; that's why you need to drop them in specific places. We recommend dropping off the pools behind the raid.

Volatile Current will give everyone a bomb; spread out to minimize damage, then interrupt or purge it. They are invulnerable, so this is how you'll get rid of them. Lightning Breath needs to be dodged, as do the Lightning Strikes.

Intermission

At 65%, the first intermission begins and lasts for two minutes. Raszageth will cast Storm Nova, which will knock players back to lower platforms. Split the raid in half on the two platforms as indicated below. You want to go to the side platforms, not the center one.

raszageth first intermission wow

Your goal here is to kill the adds as soon as possible, using the following priority:

  1. Surging Ruiner
  2. Stormseeker Acolyte
  3. Oathsworn Vanguard

During the intermission, make sure you dodge Lightning Devastation. Adds spawn with a Surge shield; break it and burn the adds. Interrupt the Storm Bolt from the Acolytes as much as possible. When your platform is clear, you can teleport to the bottom center platform.

Raszageth Phase 2

The second phase plays out similarly to the first. Raszageth will gain 100 energy and then gain a shield. You need to break it with a similar mechanic as Thaddius in Classic Wrath of the Lich King; stand next to those that share a similar polarity (positive or negative). This gives you bonus damage; standing next to opposite polarities will give you a DOT. If you don't break this shield within 25 seconds, you'll most likely wipe.

Make sure you're dodging Tempest Wing, interrupting/purging the adds from Volatile Current, dodging Lightning Strikes, tank swapping on Electrified Jaws, and healing through Electric Scales. One new thing to consider is Fulminating Charge. Several players will be targeted with a bomb. After four seconds, it explodes and leaves behind a DOT. If you're too close to other players, the bomb will jump to others. Run away from the group and make sure you don't spread it.

Intermission

When the Vault's integrity reaches 0%, or the boss hits 25%, the next intermission begins. This time, an add spawns in the center of the room, ready for you to kill it. Avoid the Ball Lightning it casts. Occasionally, the big add casts Storm Breath. It will teleport away and summon little adds. Burn those as soon as possible; they're trying to reach the big add. If they do, the big add heals and deals more damage. We do not recommend letting this happen.

Once the add is down, it will knock you back to the original platform.

Raszageth Phase 3

We've reached the end of the boss. You're still going to deal with Tempest Wing, Fulminating Charge, Lightning Breath, Electric Scales, and Lightning Strikes. Additionally, tanks will now deal with Thunderous Blast. Use a mitigation cooldown during its two second cast, as it helps with the raid-wide damage that goes out after the cast, then swap tanks as it applies a vulnerability. Raszageth's Raging Storm also acts as a soft enrage; it slowly fills the platform with AOE pools that hurt.

Raszageth Heroic Mode

  • Numerical values for boss health and damage from abilities increases.
  • Static Fields from the Static Charge increase in size when players stand in it.
  • Volatile Sparks now have two stacks. You need to interrupt/purge them twice to kill them.
  • Surging Ruiners will mark players with Surging Blast. It is a debuff that deals damage and explodes after six seconds. Spread out if you have it.
  • Stormcharged triggers an explosion if you come into contact with someone of the opposite polarity.
  • There are now two Colossal Stormfiends. When they die, the other remaining one does 30% increased attack speed and quickly deals more damage. We recommend kill these adds at the same time.
  • Magnetic Charge is when Raszageth targets a random player. After eight seconds, they will explode and be health fall-off damage to the raid. Additionally, everyone will be pulled to their location. You can run to the edge of the Raging Storm to ensure maximum distance between you and the rest of the raid.

Raszageth Loot Table

The ilvl for Raszageth's Loot Table varies by the raid's difficulty. Normal loot has an ilvl of 389, Heroic 402, and Mythic 415. One rare item has a higher ilvl.
