Over the weekend, the world’s highest Xbox Gamerscore record held by Ray “Stallion83” Cox was surpassed by a new challenger, Stephen “smrnov” Rowe, while the former reigning champion had been taking some time away from gaming to go on a honeymoon with his new bride. As it happens, Stallion83’s Gamerscore of 1,585,894 was beaten by quite the respectable figure of 6,386 points, with smrnov having then hit a Gamerscore of 1,592,280.

As seen in the tweet below, when the Twitter account for Xbox Achievements shared the news of smrnov beating Stallion83’s Gamerscore, Stallion83 made it clear that there was a very good reason why he hadn’t been keeping up with gaming. In fact, the once-record holder explained as much by saying that he had been “busy having all the sex,” and punctuated his message with a GIF of Chris Farley taking off his shirt from the Adam Sandler movie Billy Madison.

For those unaware, back in 2014, Stallion83 was the first gamer to hit 1 million points for a Gamerscore, and fittingly enough, he did so while playing the Xbox exclusive Titanfall. Since then, he had been dutifully maintaining his position as the world record holder of the highest Gamerscore, but due to his true life achievement of getting married, the title’s now technically in the hands of smrnov. However, the new champ doesn’t intend to apply for the actual Guinness World Record, and he even went so far as to say that he had not been aiming to beat Stallion83’s feat.

When smrnov learned that he became the Xbox player with the top Gamerscore, he took to his blog to share his thoughts on the matter and thank those who congratulated him. In his post, smrnov wrote, “Thanks to everyone who sent messages of congrats, I appreciate it. I think it surprised most of you and myself really as it was never my goal to overtake Stallion83.”

Although smrnov is now the de facto king of the highest Xbox Gamerscore, it’s safe to say that Stallion83 will be back to make a run on reclaiming the throne soon enough. After all, a honeymoon can only last so long.

As of now, smrnov currently reigns supreme with the most recent numbers for his top Xbox Gamerscore being 1,592,680.
