Throughout their travels in Bastion, World of Warcraft: Shadowlands players may come across the Golden Steward's Chest. At first glance, it's locked with seemingly no way to open it, but players can get the key by completing a quest for Elios, the NPC right beside it. Compared to other treasures like the Mistveil Tangle Enchanted Chest, this one's fairly time consuming to get.

Unlocking the Golden Steward's Chest in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands is by no means difficult, but it will be a bit time consuming by nature of the quest. What's more, players won't even be able to open the chest until they've completed the Fruit of the Gods quest from Elios.

In order to complete that quest, players will need to find a Ripe Purian somewhere in Bastion and give it to Elios. This is fairly easy to do as they are abundant in the realm, but there's a trick to finding more that involves other treasures in Bastion.

Talking to Elios, he will tell the player about the Steward of the Day. In order to get the key and open the Steward's Golden Chest, players simply need to make a journey to whichever Steward Elios talks about and give them a Ripe Purian. In return, players will get the key that they can then use to unlock the chest back in Hero's Rest. Ripe Purians are coveted by the Kyrians, as they are used in many different types of transactions. All total, there are 10 potential Stewards that players will need to go visit, and since they are scattered on the far reaches of the map for the most part, it can take time to get to one.

After finding the Steward, players will be prompted to give them a Ripe Purian. However, if they don't have any Ripe Purians with them, the location of all Ripe Purians will be marked on their map. This not only will help players to get the key but also is a good way to track down and collect several Ripe Purians for future use. Ripe Purians are required to open many chests in World of Warcraft: Shadowlands, so stocking up on them now is never a bad idea.

Going near any of the Silver Strongboxes found throughout the area will also cause Ripe Purians to appear on the player's map if they don't already have some with them. Above is a video showing the process in detail and a list of locations for all potential Stewards of the Day. It should also be said that some players suspect this may be tied to which of Shadowlands' covenants the player has joined, though this isn't yet confirmed.
