World of Warcraft players have a lot to be excited about. Not only is the Shadowlands pre-patch live, but this past week Blizzard officially announced the release date for the delayed expansion. Now fans of the MMO just have to wait for November 23, when they'll be able to quest into Shadowlands for the very first time. To help make the wait easier, Blizzard has been sharing a variety of trailers showing off the new regions of Shadowlands and hinting at what players will soon explore for themselves.

So far, Blizzard has released three different trailers focusing on areas from the Shadowlands expansion. The first trailer focuses on the Bastion region, the second on Maldraxxus, and the third on Ardenweald. All three run for less than 45 seconds, so they're more teaser than in-depth looks. Nevertheless, for anxious World of Warcraft players looking forward to Shadowlands, it's a great way to get an initial impression of the new content.

In addition to introducing the regions themselves, the new trailers also hint at each region's Covenants. Covenants are unique groups in Shadowlands, each with their own goals and aims. Players will be able to join one of these Covenants once they progress in Shadowlands. Ardenweald is associated with the Night Fae, Bastion is associated with the Kyrian, and Maldraxxus is home to the Necrolords.

One trailer has been shared each day, so it's safe to assume Blizzard will share more in the days to come. There are a total of six Shadowlands regions in the expansion. Only one more of those left to cover is a leveling zone, the dark, gothic wasteland of Revendreth. Outside of those, there's also the hub city of Oribos, the Eternal City, as well as the max level zone known only as The Maw.

There's still plenty of time left before Shadowlands launches, so Blizzard likely has more than just region-specific trailers planned. More in-depth looks at the four Covenants, introductions to key NPCs, or a variety of other topics could make for trailer material. There's likely to be a cinematic or two worth sharing, as well.

What's clear is that with Shadowlands' release date now confirmed, both World of Warcraft players and the development team at Blizzard are excited. Ever since the release of World of Warcraft Classic, there's been a seemingly renewed energy for the MMO. Pre-orders for Shadowlands are said to be record high, so all Blizzard needs to do is foster that energy and hopefully deliver the game's best expansion yet.

World of Warcraft is available now on PC.
