World of Warcraft: Shadowlands took players to the reaches of the Maw and pitted them against the nefarious Jailer who rules there. Having explored the various new realms and defeated Sire Denathrius, players have been eagerly awaiting the next content update to allow them to further explore the Shadowlands. Now, the new Chains of Domination update for World of Warcraft: Shadowlands has been given an official date.

In less than two weeks, on June 29, the Chains of Domination update will go live. At this point, players have exhausted all of the current content related to the initial release of Shadowlands, with many having even unlocked all the achievements for the Castle Nathria raid. Luckily, the Chains of Domination update will bring a slew of new content for players to explore.

As promised in the Chains of Domination update, players will be introduced to an entirely new raid. The Sanctum of Domination raid will pit players against familiar faces like Kel'Thuzad and Sylvanas Windrunner, and against entirely new threats like the Tarragrue, the beast that players encounter during a failed run of Torghast. Of course, players will have to venture deep into the unexplored regions of the Maw to reach the Sanctum of Domination and gather the treasures found within.

Although the Chains of Domination update will explore older Warcraft lore, the new 8-player megadungeon, Tazavesh, the Veiled Market, will dig deeper into the lore surrounding the mysterious brokers, the humanoid beings that populate Oribos and other regions of the Shadowlands. For the dungeon, players will be tasked with foiling a heist orchestrated by cartel boss So'leah. The players' efforts will bring them through the various regions of the Shadowlands as So'leah attempts to escape, facing various bosses before a final showdown with So'leah, who has unwittingly released a power far beyond their understanding.

Finally, the Chains of Domination update will introduce a myriad of different small changes including bringing flying mounts into Shadowlands areas, a new season of PvP content including updated rewards, and a revamped Mythic+ dungeon system. In an effort to greater expand on the lore of the brokers and the mysteries of the Shadowlands, the Chains of Domination update will also bring a new city, Korthia, the City of Secrets, a place that was previously lost in the In-Between, the curious space that players traverse while traveling between Oribos and the various covenant realms in Shadowlands.
