Lost Razorwing Eggs were added in World of Warcraft's Shadowlands patch 9.1. The eggs are a drop from the Devourer mobs in Korthia. Most players had no idea what the eggs were used for or what to do with them up until just a few weeks ago.

The eggs are actually used to unlock the Dusklight Razorwing Mount, one of a few new mounts available after the update. To unlock the mount, gamers will need to find six Lost Razorwing Eggs in Korthia. With a bit of help, players can find the rare Devourer mobs, as well as gain a few tips on how to get the eggs faster.

Updated on September 10, 2021 by Payton Lott: The initial version of this guide covered the general steps players should take to acquire the six eggs and receive the mount. However, it left out several key details. For example, which Devourers have the best spawn chances, and where they can be found. Additionally, there are a couple of different locations where the mobs spawn that were not discovered until after this guide was written. With a couple of months of Korthia exploration, a few additional strategies for tracking down the eggs have come to light.

Finding The Devourer Mobs In Korthia

Korthia Mob Location

There are two common spawn points for the Devourer mobs. The first is just to the southwest of Keeper's Respite, and the second is Northwest from the Seeker's Quorum. The image above denotes these two zones, which are quite large.

Konthrogz the Obliterator has a more randomized spawn. He is often found near these rare mobs, but spawns less frequently and in more locations. The mob boss is more likely to spawn after another one of the world rares is killed. Regardless, gamers will get the notification when he spawns in.

*Another location that spawns mobs at a higher rate is the Estuary of Awakening, which is just to the west of the left X on the map above. While these common spawn points will usually have mobs roaming the area frequently, there is no guarantee they will appear during a play session. In fact, the Devourer mobs can spawn almost anywhere in Korthia. Players can ask questions in general chat or LFG to find other people on the server trying to track these mobs down.

Collect All Ten Lost Razorwing Eggs

Devourer Mobs WoW Shadowlands

Apart from the smallest enemies in the mob, all of the creatures have a chance to drop a Lost Razorwing Egg. Blizzard has the drop capped at two or three eggs per character in a 24 hour period. *Although, some users have reported that all of the eggs can drop in one day. Assuming the cap is true, it means that once two or three eggs have been picked up, players will need to wait an entire day for another drop.

Because the Devourer mobs are so common, it won't be very hard to get all six. However, don't confuse an easy task with a quick one. The eggs have a notoriously low drop rate, and the amount of time this will take depends mostly on RNG. Gamers will happen upon the eggs as they complete quests and other challenges in-game.

Unfortunately, it will take about three days to get all six. Players can get unlucky and fail to pick one up in an hour or so of farming. The key to this task is to be consistent and fight a few mobs each play session. If they don't turn up, there is always next time. Who knows, maybe Blizzard will remove the cap to make the mount easier to get in the future. It has been a couple of months since Korthia was introduced to servers, so we can only hope.

Devourer Mob Creatures

There are several different creatures that make up each mob. As a rule of thumb, the bigger the enemy, the more likely they will drop one of the six eggs. Ravenous Gorgers are great solo targets because they only have about 35k health on average. The other two enemies gamers will want to focus on are the Wild Worldcracker and Konthrogz the Obliterator. A Wild Worldcracker will spawn every day by Popo's Potion Patrol (46.88, 35). Follow the mighty Popo as he drops off his potions and the named Devourer will appear.

Konthrogz spawns all throughout Korthia. Keep checking general chat periodically for the announcement that he has spawned. Just like with the mobs themselves, finding a committed group will help people locate the mob boss each day. Both Konthrogz and Wild Worldcracker have essentially guaranteed Lost Razorwing Egg drops. Kill both of these enemies each day for three days straight, and with a bit of luck, all six will be collected.

Lost Razorwing Egg Turn In Location

To get the mount, gamers will need to return the eggs to the Razorwing nest at (25.55, 51.11) in Korthia. The eggs can be returned periodically, or once all ten have been collected. Return all six to the nest and the Dusklight Razorwing Mount will be unlocked. Because of how easy collecting these eggs is, most players will want to pick up the mount. It is a cool-looking mount to use, and a great item for collectors.
