The Winds of Wisdom may be gone, but World of Warcraft speed leveling will hardly be deterred by its absence, as one of its players managed to reach Level 60 in just three hours, and then posted a video guide on how he accomplished the feat. Ever since the Dragonflight pre-patch launched, players have been leveling their alts with a rekindled passion that was only further stoked with the experience gain increase provided by World of Warcraft's 18th Anniversary.

Perhaps one of the best things about World of Warcraft is how leveling an alt is so incredibly effortless. World of Warcraft players aren't obligated to complete all the previous content in the game, and with the inclusion of Chromie Time in Shadowlands, they can choose to fully level in an expansion of their preference. Some World of Warcraft players take this idea to the extreme, and see how fast one might bridge the level gap between their main character and their alt.

For World of Warcraft player Harldan, reaching Level 60 in roughly three hours has not only become a possibility, but a guarantee following the changes made to leveling in Dragonflight. After completing the feat during the Dragonflight pre-patch, Harldan posted a useful guide on both YouTube and Reddit – detailing how players could achieve similar times to make their leveling as efficient as possible.

The leveling route assumes that players have already unlocked Allied Races in World of Warcraft, as that automatically skips the first ten levels of the game. If that is not the case, Harldan stresses that the zone of choice to start their leveling journey should always be Exile's Reach. He considers the Death Knight, Demon Hunter, and base racial zones as inefficient compared to the neatly-designed Exile's Reach that was introduced with Shadowlands as the universal introductory zone.

From then on, his leveling guide takes the players across some of the most popular World of Warcraft leveling zones, and for the sake of fairness, Harldan made a guide that takes a player's faction into account – offering routes for both Horde and Alliance players. Though the Hinterlands, Redridge Mountains, and Silverpine Forest all make an appearance, the zones from Warlords of Draenor seem to decisively stand in the spotlight.

Even though Shadowlands can now take World of Warcraft players from Level 10 to Level 60, none of its zones have been deemed efficient, and players can easily skip them on the way to the Dragon Isles. Though the cap gets expanded to Level 70 in just eleven days from now, Harldan has also made a leveling guide for Dragonflight that may be of use to players who decide to level multiple characters in the upcoming expansion, provided they're done taking in the sights on their first playthrough.

World of Warcraft is available now for PC. Dragonflight launches on November 28.
