It has been an exciting week for World of Warcraft players since the Burning Crusade Classic was announced at BlizzConline. With many older heroes anticipating an imminent return to Outland, the current Timewalking event is giving them a reason to revisit the different zones and inhabitants in the present day. Since players are getting an additional 50-percent bonus reputation through combat and quests this week, it is the perfect time to get rewards from otherwise farm heavy factions such as the Netherwing.

The Netherwing dragonflight was created by Black dragonflight eggs being exposed to the energies of Outland and much of the faction questline involves saving them from enslavement at the hands of Dragonmaw orcs. As many players can attest, however, grinding to exalted with Netherwing can take days or even weeks due to small amounts of reputation points awarded by dailies. Thankfully, one of the final turn-ins from the initial storyline provides a huge boost of reputation that is affected by most increases including the Timewalking bonus.

Ally of the Netherwing

Because the first quests aren't repeatable, World of Warcraft players may need to use an alt character for the Netherwing. Head over to Shadowmoon Valley (Outland) and look for Mordenai, an NPC questgiver at Netherwing Fields in the southeast part of the zone. He will then give characters a series of nine quests to sabotage Dragonmaw orcs and free Netherwing dragons from the nearby fortress. Once this chain is completed, players normally receive 42,000 WoW reputation which brings them from hated to neutral with the Netherwing faction. With the Timewalking bonus, however, an additional 21,000 reputation is awarded which is enough to immediately push the character to revered.

While the class doesn't matter, it is recommended to bring a max-leveled character to quickly finish the questline. Furthermore, World of Warcraft's human race isn't advised since Blizzard accounted for their passive reputation boost and any human characters will become mostly honored rather than revered after the final turn-in.

Keep in mind while doing the questline during Timewalking week does negate most of the grind, players will still need to farm 21,000 more reputation to reach exalted with the Netherwing. This can be accomplished through dailies fully unlocked at revered or turning in Netherwing eggs found in the area or even as a drop in the original version of Karazhan. Then after finally becoming exalted, players get one last quest which awards a free Netherwing drake mount and the option to buy the six other colors.
