Ahead of the next update to World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, one player demonstrated how massive one of the series' long-forgotten villains, the gargantuan proto-dragon Galakrond, is compared to other parts of the world. The player put Galakrond's scale against a few landmarks in World of Warcraft and showed why Galakrond will be a force for players to deal with shortly. The next content update for World of Warcraft, Fractures in Time, is currently available for players to try on the public test realm (PTR) and provide feedback for Blizzard to check. In Fractures in Time, players will be able to take on the Mythic difficulty "Dawn of the Infinite" mega-dungeon. In this challenge, players will battle against the de facto leader of the Primal Incarnates, Iridikron the Stonescaled, as well as various forces of the Infinite Dragonflight. In the background of these time-twisted battlefields, Galakrond will be prominently featured. However, despite falling many millennia before the events of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, one player showed that there's more to the monster than at first glance.RELATED: World of Warcraft Confirms Fan-Favorite Dragonflight Feature is StayingOn Twitter, a user named keyboardturn showed that Galakrond's head is not just an environmental piece in the world like a mountain or a castle, but an actual object that could be animated if the World of Warcraft developers wish to. She showed that the model for Galakrond had two bones that could be used as articulation points. In a follow-up post, keyboardturn then showed Galakrond's head against Deathwing, with Galakrond's skull matching the sheer size of the former aspect of the Black Dragonflight. In another picture, keyboardturn showed that Galakrond's skull would cover at least one-fifth of Stormwind City, with the Trade District and parts of adjacent districts serving as comparison points.

However, despite Galakrond's size, keyboardturn guessed that the dragon would not be bigger than a more benevolent entity. The being in question is Shien-zin Su, the great turtle that serves as The Wandering Isle in 2012's Mists of Pandaria expansion. Given that Shien-zin Su serves as a parallel to the World Turtle in various mythologies, the fact that even a mighty dragon like Galakrond would pale in comparison makes some sense.

However, given the fact that the "Dawn of the Infinite" mega-dungeon will take players to a point in time just shortly after Galakrond's demise, the monstrous dragon will be brought back to the forefront of World of Warcraft soon. Whether Galakrond himself will return to the present or not by the Infinite Dragonflight is a mystery that players will uncover in the coming weeks and months ahead.

World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
