Rousing and Awakened materials have a very important role to play in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight's crafting system, and they come in seven different types. Specifically, those types are Air, Decay, Earth, Fire, Frost, Ire, and Order, and they are obtained from a variety of sources. This guide is here to provide more details on those sources and help players track down Rousing and Awakened materials in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.

Prior to detailing the sources for these materials, there are two things that should be clarified. The first is that WoW players will be farming for Rousing materials and then converting them into their Awakened counterparts after 10 have been obtained. The second is that the rates at which mobs drop Rousing materials seem to have been decreased significantly by an update that occurred on December 6, and the Herbalism, Mining, and Tailoring professions now provide the best ways to farm these reagents.

Rousing Air

Sulfuric Ragers, elemental mobs that can be found in the southeast corner of the Ohn'ahran Plains, have a chance to drop Rousing Air, and their position has been marked on the map that is above. Additionally, Herbalists can obtain Rousing Air from Windswept herbs, and these typically appear at high elevations across World of Warcraft's Dragon Isles.

Rousing Decay

While it used to be possible to farm Rousing Decay in abundance by dispatching the Oozing Decays in The Azure Span, that is no longer the case. Instead, Herbalists will need to obtain the material by harvesting Decayed herbs, which tend to appear near Brackenhide Hollow in The Azure Span. Alternatively, Tailors can earn it by unraveling Decayed Wildercloth, which can be farmed from the Gnolls near Brackenhide Hollow.

Rousing Earth

The Earth elementals that spawn across The Waking Shores can drop Rousing Earth, and a good area to target has been marked on the map that is above. Miners in WoW: Dragonflight can also extract it from the Hardened and Primal nodes that they will encounter throughout the Dragon Isles.

Rousing Fire

The Fire elementals that appear in WoW's Hornswog Hollow, an area in the southeast corner of The Waking Shores, can drop Rousing Fire, and that area has been marked on the map that is above. However, the material can be obtained with more consistency by Miners that gather from Molten nodes, which appear frequently in areas with Fire elementals, or by Tailors that unravel the Singed Wildercloth that are dropped by humanoids in The Waking Shores.

Rousing Frost

Players can try to farm Rousing Frost by dispatching the Tormented Steam mobs that appear north of the Obsidian Bulwark in The Waking Shores. Herbalists can also go after the material by targeting Frigid herbs, and Tailors can obtain it by unraveling Frostbitten Wildercloth, which can be farmed from the Gnolls in the southwest corner of The Azure Span.

Rousing Ire

Miners and Herbalists can earn this material by gathering from Infurious nodes and herbs, which will appear across the Dragon Isles after activating War Mode. Furthermore, gathering from one of those sources will bestow Fury of Battle upon the player, giving them a chance to obtain Rousing Ire when they dispatch enemy players. Finally, fans without one of these gathering professions can earn Rousing Ire by participating in instanced PvP in WoW: Dragonflight.

Rousing Order

Once again, players with Mining or Herbalism are the ones that will be earning this material, and it can be collected from Titan-Touched nodes and herbs. For the uninitiated, these gathering points are marked with glowing orbs, and fans will frequently need to use Dragonriding in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight to reach them.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is now available for PC.
