With only one week left until the launch of World of Warcraft: Dragonflight, Blizzard released the "Launch Gameplay Trailer" for the new expansion. The trailer clocked in at just under two minutes in length and covered some introductory story and gameplay elements that players will experience in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.

Over the course of the last few weeks, the pre-expansion patch for Dragonflight was released in two phases. The first phase was released on October 25, which added the revamped user interface, the new talent tree system, and balance changes for all classes and specializations to look over and customize. Last week, the second phase brought a bevy of content to tide players over. Players can take part in the Primal Storms event, and those that have already purchased Dragonflight can create and play as a Dracthyr Evoker, the new hero class of the expansion.

Right from the get-go, the new trailer for Dragonflight introduces players to one of the main threats they will face in the expansion. The first minute of the trailer showed snippets from the in-game cutscene titled "A Tempest Unleashed" and features Kalecgos, leader of the Blue Dragonflight. Kalecgos is shown informing an old ally, Archmage Khadgar, about the return of Raszageth the Storm-Eater. Dracthyr Evokers that played through their introductory quests witnessed Raszageth's release from her underground prison, which Kalecgos relays to Khadgar after hearing the testimonies of both Wrathion and Alexstrasza. After Alexstrasza pledges to reforge the Aspects' powers they lost at the conclusion of the Cataclysm expansion, Khadgar declares to Kalecgos that the mortal champions of Azeroth will answer the call of the Life-Binder and assist her in her efforts.

The latter half of the trailer shows gameplay footage of players taking on the numerous new dungeons in the Dragon Isles, the new factions that players can ally themselves and build renown with, and the upcoming Vault of the Incarnates raid where players will face Raszageth as the final boss. The new talent trees and the Dracthyr Evoker were also highlighted, as the words of Nozdormu, leader of the Bronze Dragonflight, echo throughout the trailer and encouraged players to discover a new destiny of their own on the Dragon Isles. The trailer concluded with Blizzard restating that preorders for Dragonflight are now available, and come with immediate access to the Dracthyr Evoker.

As part of the build-up to Dragonflight, Twitch Drops were enabled for the first time in the history of World of Warcraft. Starting next week, players can earn the Feldrake mount as a Twitch Drop for watching at least four hours of Dragonflight content on any participating channel. With just days to go until the expansion's launch, Blizzard has spared no efforts to bring people back to Azeroth after a rough few years. Whether its efforts will bear fruit or not will be up to the players to decide.

World of Warcraft is available now for PC. Dragonflight launches on November 28.
