World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is releasing on November 28, and the game's latest beta build has been marked as a release candidate. Despite the initial skepticism raised towards Blizzard Entertainment for trying to launch Dragonflight after a notably short beta testing period, the developers have done a commendable job in keeping the expansion pack on schedule. With Shadowlands ending a patch early similarly to Warlords of Draenor, there is a lot of resemblance between Dragonflight and Legion as emerging on the heels of abandoned expansions to right the game's course.

Like Legion, Dragonflight is bringing a new race-locked class to the game: the Evoker. Available exclusively to Dragonflight's Dracthyr race, it will finally let players tap into their Dragon Knight fantasies by channeling the draconic power of the Aspects. Moreover, Dragonflight is lifting restrictions for three classes, allowing any standard or allied race to become a Mage, Rogue, or Priest. The expansion takes players to the mystical Dragon Isles, which has been a place of significant speculation and curiosity in the World of Warcraft community since the game's launch.

Dragonflight's beta began on September 1, and it still remains in full swing. Unlike its earlier builds, Blizzard Entertainment has marked the latest one as a release candidate. Simply put: the next World of Warcraft expansion has gone gold. This is the build Blizzard is confident to launch the game with, and though Dragonflight will likely see hotfixes at release, the majority of changes to the game's classes, Dragonflight's new features, and available content will remain as they are.

One of the last things implemented in this release build was the inclusion of Dragonflight's new Great Vault, located in Valdrakken. In addition to allowing Mythic Keystone players to earn higher item level rewards, the new weekly chest system also requires significantly less time investment to hit all its requirements compared to Shadowlands at launch. Coupled with a new loot system that brings back the best parts of Group Loot, earning gear in World of Warcraft hasn't been this convenient in a long time.

Dragonflight is releasing around the same time of year as Shadowlands, and World of Warcraft players may once again see a tense race to World First this close to the winter holidays. However, with Mythic coming out alongside Normal and Heroic raids, it will offer guilds an extra week to take down Raszageth, compared to the hectic schedule of Castle Nathria when Complexity Limit defeated Sire Denathrius on December 23, 2020.
