World of Warcraft players who enjoy PvP can bring the battle to the skies with a new Dragonriding talent in Dragonflight that allows them to dismount other players. This new talent can be unlocked using the Dragonriding mount system in World of Warcraft: Dragonflight.

Dragonflight added a new physics-based flying system called Dragonriding. Players can customize a special dragon mount, then take to the skies using special abilities to navigate the terrain at high speeds. Across the Dragon Isles, players can collect glyphs to improve their Dragonriding mount in Dragonflight.

The Dragonriding talent found in the sixth row of the track is called Airborne Tumbling. This talent modifies the Whirling Surge Dragonriding ability in Dragonflight to evade Wingshredder obstacles while also allowing the ability to dismount airborne enemy players they come in contact with. While tricky to pull off, this can enable players to knock foes from the sky to plummet to their death without even needing to dismount. World of Warcraft player and Redditor PigeOnYT shared a video of the Airborne Tumbling ability in action.

Players who don’t want to be knocked from their mounts need not panic – this ability can only affect players of the opposite faction while War Mode is active. War Mode is a toggle to activate world PvP while granting a small boost to experience. If players don’t want the risk of being knocked off their Dragonriding mounts mid-flight, they can simply avoid using War Mode.

Considering how new Dragonflight is, many players didn’t know they could unlock such a fun and hilarious ability to defeat their fellow PvP enthusiasts. Players who were already charmed by the new Dragonriding system in Dragonflight rushed to unlock the Airborne Tumbling ability so they could engage in some draconic dogfighting of their own. Though the maneuver is hard to pull off successfully, players venturing forth with War Mode active should always be aware of their surroundings, even high in the sky.

Despite the new way of battling in PvP, World of Warcraft: Dragonflight puts the long conflict between the Alliance and the Horde to rest. The two factions join hands on the Dragon Isles to work towards a common goal of helping the dragons and exploring ancient history. That said, World of Warcraft has a long history of PvP. With War Mode still available, and a new Arena coming with Dragonflight Season 1, PvP enthusiasts still have much to look forward to in the new expansion.

World of Warcraft: Dragonflight is available now on PC.
