Late October is here and that means that Halloween-themed events are popping up in tons of video games (like Overwatch and Pokemon GO). Azeroth is no exception and World of Warcraft: Classic's Hallow's End event is now underway. Although there are fewer activities than there are in the Battle for Azeroth version of Hallow's End, there is still plenty to do for players who prefer the vanilla holiday experience.

Players should get ready to trick or treat, bob for apples, and visit the Wickerman Festival this week in World of Warcraft: Classic. The Hallow's End event is already live now, so players can start their holiday journey as soon as they are ready. Before heading out into Azeroth and getting started, Game Rant has some advice on how to best take advantage of all of the activities and buffs available.

What Is Hallow's End?

Hallow's End is the World of Warcraft holiday event and the lore is centered around the Forsaken celebrating their liberation from the Lich King's control. The undead set fire to a giant wicker statue and hear a speech from Lady Sylvanas to celebrate. Although the lore sort of only makes sense for the Foresaken, all races of both factions still celebrate the Hallow's End, simply so that there are holiday activities for everyone.

How To Get a Pumpkin Bag

The coveted Pumpkin Bag is a 16-slot bag that can drop from any level 50+ Undead mob during the event. The bag is not unique, so players who are lucky can stock up on the bags and use a few of them.

How Does Trick or Treating Work?

Players can visit any Innkeeper in the game once per hour and find out if they've been Tricked or Treated. Depending on which they get, the resulting activities are a bit different...

Tricked players gain a costume. They can transform into a frog, human ghost, kitten, Mini-Diablo, skeleton or snake for a minute or two. These cannot be clicked off. Tricked players can also gain a random Hallow's End wand costume cast on yourself - Bat, Leper Gnome, Assassin, Pirate, Skeleton or Wisp for one hour. Some costumes stop players from casting spells or using abilities, but these can simply be clicked off if desired.

Treated players get a better deal. Treated players receive a Treat Bag which can contain the following items:

Assorted Hallow's End candy such as Candy Corn, Lollipop and Candy Bar

Flimsy Masks for each gender of every playable race;

Hallowed Wands that can be used to apply costumes to friendly players.

Bobbing For Apples

Players who want to bob for apples can do this by visiting Inns. Click on the apply bobbing pool to pick up 5 Bobbing Apples at no cost. The apples restore health over 24 seconds. If eaten for at least 10 seconds, grant a Stamina and Spirit buff to your character - You will receive Stamina and Spirit equivalent to 25% of your level.

Orphan Treats Questline

Each faction also has an Orphan Treats questline that is a staple of the Hallow's Eve event. Players need to be at least level 10 to take part and the modest rewards include 100 Reputation to all of your faction's major cities, as well as some Hallow's End Pumpkin Treat.

After you gather all the NPC's candies, simply return to Jesper to complete Hallow's End Treats for Jesper!

Horde - Hallow's End Treats for Spoops!

Chicken Clucking for a Mint - /chicken for Innkeeper Norman in Undercity;

That should all provide plenty of entertainment to keep players busy throughout the span of the event. Be sure to get a headstart on the Orphan Questline, especially if you haven't done a lot of travelling yet and will need to pick up some new flight paths along the way.
