The newest expansion for Blizzard's critically acclaimed MMORPG, World of Warcraft, finally has a release date, and it is earlier than expected. World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth will be rolling out on August 14th of this year, and is available for pre-order now. In Battle for Azeroth, players will be able to visit the new continents of Kul Tiras and Zandalar, recruit new Allied Races, enjoy exploring uncharted territory in Island Expeditions, represent their factions on the Warfront, and customize their armor with new powers and traits, amongst other things.

Blizzard is offering a Standard Edition for $49.99, a Digital Deluxe Edition for $69.99, as well as an esteemed Collector's Edition of Battle For Azeroth for $99.99. Pre-ordering any of these 3 editions will give players early access to the 4 Allied Races, and a level 110 character boost. The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the Gilded Ravasaur and Seabird Stallion mounts, and the Tottle pet for World of Warcraft, as well as a Hearthstone card back, Starcraft 2 sprays, a Heroes of the Storm mount and Overwatch voice lines, emotes, sprays and icons. For die-hard players who pre-order the Collectors Edition of Battle for Azeroth, they can look forward to all the perks from the Digital Deluxe Edition, as well as a Digital Soundtrack Key, a Mark of Allegiance and an impressive double-sided book.

In addition to new races, such as the Lightforged draenei on the side of the Alliance and the ancient Nightborne on the Horde's side, Battle for Azeroth will push the level cap to 120, new dungeons and raids will be made available to players, and it is introducing in-game Communities that will allow players to join cross-realm social groups. Also, starting today, anyone interested in joining the fight with the next expansion can pre-purchase Battle for Azeroth digitally through the Blizzard Shop and receive the current expansion, Legion, for free.

World of Warcraft fans have certainly been waiting in anticipation for this expansion. Judging from the Battle for Azeroth trailer released towards the end of 2017, the images of the new mounts from the game, and all the new races and locations, it will hopefully not disappoint, as some felt the previous expansion, Legion, did.

World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth will be available on PC and IOS August 14th of this year.
