Though the next content update is not arriving for a few more days, World of Warcraft released the full notes for Patch 10.0.7 for players to take a look at. The notes cover what World of Warcraft players can expect soon, with class balance changes, a new zone, and other updates coming to Dragonflight.

The patch notes arrived as Blizzard began a major marketing push that focused on what World of Warcraft players can expect in the near future. Though Patch 10.0.7 will arrive on Tuesday, March 21, players can also test and preview the following update, Patch 10.1, on the public test realm (PTR) right now. As both updates will add new features in their own right, next week's content patch will bring some significant changes for one specialization that has needed some attention for some time.

Retribution Paladins will receive a rework with this update, and the rework aims to address some major concerns that both World of Warcraft players and game developers have had with the paladin's melee DPS specialization. According to the developers' notes, the goal for the Retribution Paladin rework was to consolidate the button bloat that paladins have dealt with, and give some much-needed buffs to the sustained damage, survivability, and mobility that the plate armor-clad melee DPS has needed for some time. While some of the rework resulted in slightly reducing the burst damage that paladins can do, the tradeoffs and adjustments to the talent tree should give paladins more choices when making builds for dungeons, raids, and PVP content. Patch 10.0.7 will also include the option for Monk players to play Lightforged Draenei, Goblins, and Worgen, the removal of the Battle for Azeroth Pathfinder achievement, a host of heritage armor sets for orc and human players to obtain, and new quests that will take players back to The Forbidden Reach. This zone's story will explore both the origins of the Dracthyr Evokers and give players a taste of the deep secrets that lay beneath the Dragon Isles. In addition, World of Warcraft players will be able to join Baine Bloodhoof for a quest in the Ohn'aran Plains, which may explain what he has been up to ever since he was notoriously benched during the Shadowlands expansion.

Once Patch 10.0.7 goes live, World of Warcraft players will have another chance to earn another rare TCG reward via Twitch drops. The D.I.S.C.O. toy will be available for World of Warcraft players that connect both their Blizzard and Twitch accounts and watch at least four hours of Dragonflight content at any point between March 21 and April 2. All in all, springtime in World of Warcraft will be a season packed to the brim with content for players to experience soon.

World of Warcraft is available now for PC.
