Today's Wordle answer of the day is another interesting challenge from the New York Times. Players from all over the English-speaking world will log on at midnight to try and guess this enigma, but some of those may need a few hints to get to the answer without losing a Wordle winning streak.

How To Play Wordle

There are tons of Wordle clones out there, but this article will be about the original, which is now hosted on the New York Times Games website. It was originally on the powerlanguage site, but has been on the NYTs since it was purchased by the newspaper back in February. If players are playing a different version of Wordle, the rules and answers may be different.

  • Head to the NYT Games website and look for Wordle.
  • Choose a starting word. It must be a five-letter English word. Most potentially offensive words were removed by the New York Times, along with most non-American spellings of words. Wordle words are also not plural versions of words, though plurals can be used as guesses. Wordle answers can also contain duplicated letters.
  • Type the starting Wordle word into the site and press enter.
  • The letters will change color: green for correct letters, yellow for correct letters that are in the wrong spot in the word, and gray for incorrect letters.
  • Given these clues, players have a total of six guesses to get to the answer.
  • Puzzles reset daily at midnight local time.
  • After the puzzle of the day is complete, players will get to see the Wordle menu, which has the spoiler-free share button as well as some stats. These stats include winning streaks, total number of Wordle puzzles played, and more.
