A 31 year old woman in Canton, Ohio was arrested yesterday after threatening to throw an Xbox at her "soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend."

Police were called to the couples' home while the boyfriend was trying to move out. After they arrived, the woman reportedly become "irate and uncooperative," with police arresting her on a misdemeanor charge of obstructing official business after she refused to listen to police orders and made the threat to throw the Xbox.

Besides threatening to throw an Xbox at her "soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend," the woman also hid the games for the system. As reported by the CantonRep and based on the Stark County jail records, it is unclear if she hid the games before or after her boyfriend decided to move out. Regardless, the woman is being held in jail on a $750 bond.

Xbox E3 Presintation 2016

Since this is a misdemeanor charge, the CantonRep publication has opted not to share the names of the individuals involved in this incident. There also wasn't any specification on what kind of Xbox the woman threatened to throw, whether it was the original Xbox, the Xbox 360, the Xbox One, or the expensive Xbox One X.

While threatening to throw a game console at your "soon-to-be-ex-boyfriend" or anyone else is inappropriate, it could have been much worse. Some may recall the story of Alex Lovell and his girlfriend, who became frustrated with his 12 hour PUBG gaming sessions and accused him of cheating on her. Whereas the woman involved in this incident in Canton only threatened to throw an Xbox at her boyfriend, Alex Lovell's girlfriend attacked him in his sleep with a katana and a pair of knives that she taped together. Lovell suffered severed fingers and numerous lacerations on his limbs, leaving him unable to walk for weeks.

Thankfully this incident in Canton didn't become nearly as extreme as the Alex Lovell situation. Hopefully in the future the people involved in these situations are able to settle their differences without resorting to violence.
