With Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus having been confirmed during E3 2017 with a trailer, fans of the long-running first-person shooter franchise have most likely been wondering about all of the different ways in which the new game's protagonist BJ Blazkowicz will neutralize Nazis. With this surely being the case, in order to give a greater overview of the main character's skill set, several members of the MachineGames development team sat down to record a video and discuss the different strategies and weapons BJ will wield while fighting the Fourth Reich.

As seen below in the developer video for Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus called "Gunning for Freedom," MachineGames touches on how players can make their way through the title stealthily or with brute force, but no matter which strategy is chosen, the developers have ensured that the outcome will be to have the Nazis killed. As explained by Arcade Berg, the first-person shooter's senior designer, "With stealth in Wolfenstein, it's not about about avoiding contact or avoiding killing, it's about how to take them out silently, how to take them out one by one."

Of course, whatever gameplay route players take in Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus, they will be given a bevy of weapons and firearms to get the job done. As it so happens, MachineGames heavily stressed the feature of dual wielding in the video, which will let fans hold any two weapons they choose, whether it be a long-range weapon on one side and a short range one on the other, or even a shotgun in both hands.

Naturally, as one would expect from a Wolfenstein title, The New Colossus is set to bring about a fresh level of brutality with the addition of hatchet for BJ Blazkowicz to use in the game. By doing so, players will be able to experience much more excessive take downs of enemies, with each kill using the compact axe ultimately ending in a bloodbath.

All things considered, it looks as if Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is prepared to deliver intense action through the actual gameplay, as BJ slowly begins to get his hands on a plethora of more potent weaponry as the title progresses. Not to mention, MachineGames also seems ready to offer an over-the-top and thoroughly engaging story, as it was recently revealed that the team shot 40 days of motion-capture with a huge crew.

Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus is set to launch on October 27, 2017 for PC, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One.
