The developers behind Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty have just released the new 1.04 update. Most of the changes are regarding bugs, but the update will also be making a few adjustments to AI and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty gameplay in general.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the newest Souslike title from Team Ninja. The semi-historical action role-playing game mixes the real-world history of the Chinese Han Dynasty with supernatural elements. Created as a spiritual successor to the Nioh franchise, the title has been criticized for the difficulty of its first boss but received fairly positive reviews overall due to its gameplay and setting.

Now, the official 1.04 update comes to fix several problems with Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and polish the overall experience. The new update comes just a few weeks after 1.03 and fixes around 20 known bugs, including a few potentially game-breaking situations, such as crashes that could happen in a few of the game’s environments. Some quality-of-life tweaks will also be introduced, such as automatically restocking arrows when accessing a Battle Flag, and being able to switch the lock-on to other targets. Most of the other changes are regarding small AI tweaks, menu options, and a change on how Morale Rank works when at the game’s base.

Players who like the Sekiro-like Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty and play on PC will also get improved camera controls when using a mouse and the ability to control lightning better while in Photograph mode. Also, there are a few bug fixes that are specific to the Steam and Microsoft Store versions of the game, such as fixing flickering lights in a few environments, and one bug that prevented certain configurations to remain saved after players left the menu.

During its release at the beginning of the month, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty had several bug that greatly impacted the experience of players, and Team Ninja has been ironing them out since then. At the time, most reports complained about camera bugs when using a mouse, constant crashes, and performance issues, which made it get pretty negative reviews from players. The performance on PC was specifically very rough, but it has been improving steadily since then. So, with these new updates, it’s expected that Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will be able to have a good experience with fewer problems. However, gamers can still expect more bug fixes and tweaks in the coming weeks to polish the title even more.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
