A new trailer for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is available, detailing game content along with pre-order bonus information. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is the new project from Team Ninja, the same studio responsible for Nioh and Nioh 2, the Dead or Alive fighting game series, and the modern phase of the Ninja Gaiden games, including the Ninja Gaiden: Master Collection released last year.

Set in China, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty presents a dark fantasy version of the Later Han Dynasty with the Three Kingdoms plagued by demons. Players will fight using swords and techniques based on Chinese martial arts and face enemy soldiers and deadly creatures. Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will feature Lu Bu and other figures that marked this historical period, such as Zhang Fei, Zhao Yun, and Guan Yu. The new trailer released gives a glimpse of the combat, and information about pre-order bonuses.

The new trailer shows exciting fluid combat with the use of spears, axes, and swords. It is somewhat reminiscent of Nioh, although Nioh and Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty have differences. In the video players appear facing giant creatures such as a crocodile and a type of boar, and combat between characters with a quick appearance by the legendary Lu Bu. The scenes bring both the beauty and chaos of this retelling of an iconic Chinese historical period by Team Ninja.

The video also revealed the pre-order bonuses for Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty. Players who purchase the physical or digital edition of the game by March 16 will receive the "Baihu Armor." Players who pre-order the digital version will receive the pre-order bonus and the "Zhuque Armor" pre-order bonus. The trailer also gave details of the Digital Deluxe Edition and the SteelBook version of the game. These armors added to the backgrounds and all the visual elements reinforce how Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is inheriting a huge legacy of Team Ninja by keeping the focus on the feudal universe.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty is an exciting soulslike to be released in 2023, and it's not hard to see why. The Three Kingdoms is a historical period in China depicted countless times in pop culture, but the game draws attention for its dark air and challenging difficulty. This difficulty stands out because it is an inherent element of soulslike games and something traditional in Team Ninja games. For players who are fans of soulslike games in general, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty poses as a title that needs to be checked out at launch.

Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty will release on March 3, 2023 on PC, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
