After the well-received first season of The Witcher on Netflix, as well as the announcement of the show's second season, many are waiting for any word on the development of the second season. Now, The Witcher fans have some material to go off of, as some filming locations for the show's second season have been revealed.

It turns out that much of the second season of Netflix's The Witcher adaptation will be filmed around the continent of Europe. Specifically, The Witcher's second season will be filmed in the United Kingdom, including Scotland and England. Additionally, it will be filmed in the Czech Republic and Slovakia, with some of the first season being also filmed in Slovakia.

While the Czech Republic and Slovakia are both revelations in terms of the second season's filming location, Scotland had previously been suspected as a filming location as per a picture on Instagram from a crew member. The team scouting locations for shooting had apparently been heading for the Isle of Skye, which had been used for other Netflix shows in the past, such as Daredevil.

Outside of these apparent filming locations, there isn't too much known about The Witcher's second season. It is rumored that Game of Thrones star Kristofer Hivju will be joining the cast of the second season. Hivju portrayed Tormund Giantsbane in Game of Thrones.

Furthermore, The Witcher's second season will evidently have a less confusing timeline than the show's first season, whose mixed-up timeline was controversial among viewers of the show. Otherwise, the show has turned out to be a real hit for Netflix, attracting both fans of the books and the games, and even attracting fans of the games back to them.

However, The Witcher's brand is producing other works outside of the show's follow-up season. An animated movie will be released at some point, alongside the show. Furthermore, The Witcher's soundtrack will be releasing this platform. Above all, the beloved "Toss A Coin To Your Witcher" song from the show's second episode is now available to stream on Spotify.

The Witcher is currently available to stream on Netflix.
