The Witcher has been a hit in many formats including books, games, and now as a Netflix series. The Netflix series created a lot of interest in the franchise, and it quickly became one of Netflix's most-watched shows of 2019. Naturally, with a huge audience, many aspects of the show were repurposed for the entertainment of the community that supported it. One part of the show that has been frequently referenced and enjoyed is the song 'Toss a Coin to Your Witcher' which is sung by the character Jaskier.

The series focuses on a Witcher, Geralt of Rivia, as he takes on dangerous tasks for coin but the character often finds himself wrestling with morality and deeper questions than the original quest for payment suggested. These troublesome ethically quandaries are part of the basis of the very popular song, 'Toss a Coin to Your Witcher' and one of the composers behind the song has now repurposed it in a beautiful piano rendition.

Composer, Sonya Belousova, who wrote the track alongside Giona Ostinelli has now uploaded a piano version of the song, and while it does not have the catchy chorus that many are familiar with, it does give depth to the melody. There have been plenty of covers of 'Toss a Coin to Your Witcher," but this is perhaps one of the biggest transformations in terms of mood.

After listening to this additional content from The Witcher season 1, many fans will now be looking forward to season 2. There is a great deal of speculation about what monsters and storylines will feature in the second season of The Witcher, but with parts of the series to be filmed, it seems that these elements will be a mystery for a little while longer. Fans of the other formats that tell the tales of Geralt will at least be able to revisit this vast library of content while they wait for more information about the upcoming season.

It has been claimed that The Witcher season 2 will air in 2021 as the team is making sure the season achieves the best possible program. However, whether the show will face delays because of the coronavirus pandemic and the restrictions that have been enforced as a result remains to be seen. While fans wait, they will be pleased that they have fantastic renditions of the songs from the series as well as plenty of books and games to revisit.

The Witcher can be streamed on Netflix.
