In the massive world of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, there are numerous characters just waiting to be brought to life through cosplay. In her latest outing, toriaesth masterfully depicts Sylvia Anna, or Syanna, from The Witcher 3.

Syanna is one of the pivotal characters of The Witcher 3's Blood & Wine expansion. Her story is a long and troubled one, involving family conflict with her sister Anna Henrietta, trouble with the vampire Dettlaff van der Eretein, and magic, the player mostly interacting with her in the Land of a Thousand Fables. Sporting a slick black jacket that is almost as dark as her short, tucked back hair, Syanna is as striking as she is deadly with a sword. The Witcher 3 characters like Yennefer and Triss are certainly more popular than Syanna, so it is great seeing a cosplay of a less common character.

Recently, Reddit and Instagram user torieaesth uploaded her incredible rendition of Syanna from The Witcher 3. The level of detail in her costume is practically indistinguishable from Syanna's appearance in the game, from the expertly crafted gauntlets and pauldrons, to the litany of belts and embroidery of her jacket. Torieaesth's hair and makeup, as well as the location of the photo, further bring Syanna to life, capturing that regal charm that the character so often shows off in the game. This cosplay and others like Triss Merigold preparing for the Vegelbud Ball, reinforce just how important the tiny details are in bringing a character to life.

On Reddit, torieaesth is getting plenty of praise for her interpretation of Syanna. Many fans have been quick to comment their confusion over the cosplay, at first glance thinking it was Syanna's in-game model and not a cosplay. One user went as far as to say that torieaesth's version of Syanna is actually better than the in-game version, one of the finest compliments any cosplayer can receive. Torieaesth has done other impressive cosplays as well, like recently tackling the iconic Sadie Adler from Red Dead Redemption 2.

The Witcher 3's Blood & Wine expansion drastically switches up the pace and scenery of the base game, as any good DLC should attempt to do. While part of the DLC is spent completing new quests in the main world, it is in the Land of Thousand Fables where the DLC truly shines. In the fabled world, the warm, earthy colors of the base game are done away with and replaced by rich and saturated reds and greens, with fantastic flora and fauna, and monsters straight from popular fairy tales. Perhaps torieaesth's next cosplay will be Syanna's sister Anna—either way, it is likely to be spectacular.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on Nintendo Switch, PC, PS4, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions in development.
