The popular Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt is getting an update on the Switch very soon. Game developer Saber Interactive - which is responsible for the Switch port - took to a social media platform called VK commenting that the team was working on the updates and it will be releasing them very soon. The original post was about Saber Interactive working on Killing Floor 2, but most of the comments were begging for updates on The Witcher 3 game.

Several comments were not focused on the involvement of the team KF2, but instead repeatedly begged, "When will The Witcher patch be?" The original response from Saber Interactive was written in Russian and roughly translates to "Good afternoon! Work on the patch is in full swing, soon everything will definitely be!" The message was punctuated with a peace sign emoji. Saber Interactive is most well known for its work not only on The Witcher Switch port, but also on World War ZHalo Online, and more recently with the Ghostbusters Remastered game released in October.

The Witcher 3: The Wild Hunt was recently ported over to the Switch just last year, four years after the game's initial release. The game has recently regained interest thanks to the Netflix series boosting player numbers while also selling out the original books The Witcher is based on. Ever since the game was moved over to the Switch, many players have enjoyed the mobile ability of the game, but have often complained about some of the graphics being lost in the port.

Despite the complaints, it is a wonder of how the developers fit the entire complicated plot of The Witcher on to one small Switch cartridge, but fans still want a more beautiful-looking game. The original Reddit post translating the developer's comment explained that some have taken to trying to disable Anti-Aliasing to do just that.

Some modders have demonstrated what the Switch version of The Witcher 3 could look like and the results are pretty impressive. It is possible to mod the game to 60 FPS via homebrew, or user-designed modification on the Switch. However, for all the technical jargon and work that would take, waiting for an update from Saber Interactive will be easier and less confusing than struggling to mod The Witcher 3 on the Nintendo Switch.
