CD Projekt Red details the massive 1.10 patch for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, which will pave the way for the upcoming Hearts of Stone expansion.

Fans of CD Projekt Red’s epic RPG The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt are already looking forward to the large Hearts of Stone expansion that is scheduled to release for the game in just a few days time, and they should make sure to have plenty of space available on their hard drives in preparation. Alongside the expansion’s release will be a gargantuan patch, which will help pave the way for the bevy of new content.

Patch 1.10 for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt will be around 15GB for the console versions of the game, and ranges from 6GB to 15GB on PC, depending on platform. The patch itself will introduce a wide variety of fixes and improvements to the game. Among the areas listed are visuals, audio, quest problems, and an exhausting amount of other items.

Usually we would post the full patch notes for the game, but patch 1.10 for The Witcher 3 is so large that its patch notes run 13 pages. This ridiculously large patch should come as no surprise to those that have been playing The Witcher 3. CD Projekt Red doesn’t do anything small, with the two expansions planned for The Witcher 3 said to be cumulatively as large as The Witcher 2, and they don’t neglect their games post-release.

Whereas some games release broken and are never properly patched, CD Projekt Red shipped The Witcher 3 to critical acclaim across the board, and they have continued to support it long after its release. This has included 16 weeks of free DLC, as well as the two upcoming expansions – Hearts of Stone and Blood and Wine – along with the consistent release of patches. The dedication to the gaming community that we’ve seen from CD Projekt Red is virtually unprecedented in the industry.

Witcher 3 Geralt, Yennefer, and Triss

One thing’s for certain: that CD Projekt Red has skyrocketed in popularity thanks to their Witcher 3 efforts. The free DLC, lack of DRM for the PC version, and healthy support of the game has made this a studio to watch now more than ever.
