The Witcher 3 is truly an awe-inspiring game back when it first released back on 15 May 2015. For many, the love for the series has been rekindling, mainly due to The Witcher, Netflix series that has been a massive success. Now because of it, many people are trying out the games for the first time or even another adventure. The Witcher 3, in particular, had a massive player count, even more so than back when it first launched, which is a monumental feat.

It helps that not only is the base game is humongous, it also has two massive expansions, to play after that as well. Seeing all of the secrets in the game is a tall order; indeed, as no doubt, many on their travels as Geralt of Rivia have missed a few here or there.

10 Farting Trolls?

This quest is pretty challenging to find as it's not present on your map, but it is out there, and it's definitely worthwhile to find. In all honesty, finding it by accident makes the moment that much more valuable. The sounds of farts have always been a laughing matter with friends, but imagine hearing them when you don't expect it on your travels in a deep dark cave being a Witcher.

Furthermore, on closer inspection, the creatures farting are trolls and are no doubt having a grand old time. Sadly, upon drawing closer to them, they turn hostile, so Geralt can flee with a happy memory or kill the trolls, which is sad for all. These trolls are actually quite unique, as they have names, Jesse, Dodger, and Joe, and all three are famous YouTubers, the names not the trolls.

9 House of Respite

The House of Respite is a leisure club for high-ranking Nilfgaardian officials; however, the atmosphere changes depending on what time of day you go, only twice, though, day or night. This quest is meant to be part of something bigger, or so they say, and people suspect it's from a cut Iorveth quest, who was an integral part of the Witcher 2.

The quest involved a plague that was infesting Nilfgaardian soldiers, and some demon-summoning as well. But alas, now the House of Respite is only interesting by its day and night change, apart from that it's very much empty of soul.

8 Winnie The Pooh?

This one is potentially quite easy to miss, as well animals are quite vicious in the land of The Witcher. It might be already dead and looted before anyone realized that it was a hidden easter egg. The animal in question is a bear, and it's wearing a red-colored shirt. Hmm, who is this in reference too?

Who is a bear that wears a red-colored shirt? It has to be Winnie-the-Pooh!

7 A Quest For A Forgery?

This quest called Fake Papers is quite an early one in the game and is one of many that allows you to get a pass to head up north to Novigrad. The one in question is from a shady dealer who deals in forgery and is selling a forged pass; however, it's quite expensive. He does allow you to go on a quest to help out his brother-in-law and get the pass for cheaper.

His brother and a few peasants are scavenging the nearby battlefield looting the dead. The job accepted was to protect them from ghouls, who feast on corpses. Despite the purpose of the quest to save them all, by letting the brother die, the peasants are overjoyed and give thanks, as they were forced to do work for the evil man. As a reward, they provide the promised gold as well as a bonus, but by looting the corpse of the brother, you can acquire a pass, but the initiator of the quest isn't best pleased! Oh well.

6 Toussiant's Funny Graveyard

Humor on graves have been a thing since ages passed, in games such as Monkey Island 2,  Divinity Original Sin, and Oblivion, plus many more, and The Witcher 3 is no objection. In a graveyard in Tousssiant, a cemetery can be found with funny graves, and what's even better, a lot of the names of the graves are people who work at CD Projekt Red!

Take this one, for example, a diplomat, "Caroline Nyev'eglovska. Believed it was possible to reach a satisfying agreement with anyone. Died while negotiating with a charging fiend."

Of course, Caroline Nyev'eglovska, at that present time, was a QA manager at CDPR!

5 Wait, Roach Can Speak?!?

The quest Equine Phantoms is very missable because it is pretty far out of the way, but it is one of the hilarious ones to complete in the entire game. Geralt drinks a concoction that has an unusual side effect, as his trusty steed Roach is now entirely understandable.

While being hilarious, it's also pretty sad. Every horse Geralt has he names Roach, because he doesn't want to remember a different name for an expendable animal; it makes sense, as fighting monsters for a living isn't exactly healthy. So with Roach talking back to Geralt, it is a whole new meaning to Geralt. But apparently horses are like Dwarfs because they don't hold grudges!

"But we aren't vengeful, don't hold grudges, don't dwell on being left alone in monster-infested woods..so, in your poor Blaze's name, I forgive you".

4 A Tomb Entombed?

This quest many might have missed, as it's deep within Novigrad sewers, so unless it's found by accident, or the quest is known, it's highly probable it won't be found.

A polite vampire is hiding inside of a sarcophagus, and by helping a professor opening it, the friendly vampire will inquire on the year, upon learning of said year he will tell you to F*** O** before closing the lid, how charming. Of course, the nosy professor will ask to open it again.

Options come available, either leave the lovely vampire alone or open it once again and having to battle him because the professor is a nuisance and wants something. If the vampire is left to sleep, the quest will always be sitting in your journal.

3 Schrödinger's Witcher

Witchers are to remain neutral, to keep their feelings bottled up, and only kill monsters, though sometimes the biggest monsters are humans. However, there is a mission where a fellow Witcher has slaughtered an entire village, Geralt has the choice of killing or sparing his fellow brethren. Both Witchers would return to the hideout if the latter chose.

Geralt learns from a letter, that there is a reason behind the Witcher's slaughter, due to the villagers attacking them. As well as that the letter also states that two other Witchers managed to escape, but one named Schrödinger could either be dead or alive...

2 An Arrow To The Knee

Back in the day, this might have been the biggest thing that came from Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim"I used to be an adventurer like you...until I took an arrow to the knee."

The Witcher 3, however, pays homage to that saying quite a few times by making fun of it, even Shani mentions it to a guard in Hearts Of Stone expansion. But one time in particular in Skellige, nearby after killing a devilish fiend, a letter can be found saying, "I took a wound to the knee." But earlier on in the letter, it mentions bow, so it's quite apparent it means the saying from Skyrim, it's not exact of course, but when referencing something who want's it to be perfect.

1 Beware The White Rabbit

Monty Python seems ancient now, but the comedy they created will live on the hearts of many for all eternity. One, in particular, the Witcher 3 paid homage too was the vicious white rabbit from Monty Python and the Holy Grail.

There is a small white rabbit outside of a cave, happily hopping around its area of bones, people's entrails, and carnage, but luckily the rabbit is quite friendly. Alas, Geralt could brew all the potions and have all the mutagens in the world, but it would do nothing against such a tremendous beast.
