The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is widely considered to be one of the greatest RPGs ever made. Nearly six years after its initial release, players are still jumping into it for the first time. Filled with breathtaking locations, heartfelt quests, and snappy dialogue, it is considered by many to be one of the best experiences in gaming. There can be a lot to learn, and a game of this size gives players a lot of information to take in when they first start playing.

Early on in The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, players will explore an area called White Orchard. While there, they can visit a herbalist called Tomira who will have a quest and some important information for them. Tomira can be found in the herbalist's hut, near the sawmill fast travel point.

Tomira will give players a quest called On Death's Bed, where she asks Geralt to help her make a potion for a sick woman called Lena. Lena was injured by the Griffin that Geralt is hunting as part of The Beast of White Orchard quest. This potion, called Swallow, is vitally important for players as it is a great source of healing throughout the game. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is filled with difficult boss fights, so lots of healing options will benefit players.

Swallow is an incredibly useful potion, and luckily for Lena, it is easy to make. Players will need some Dwarven spirit, Drowner brain, and Celandine. Dwarven spirit can be purchased in taverns or crafted using an empty bottle, Mahakamn sprit, and white myrtle petals. Drowners are a common monster that can be found near water in White Orchard.

The final ingredient, Celadine, grows all over White Orchard and can even be purchased from Tomira for those who don't wish to go looking for it. Once the potion has been crafted in the Alchemy menu, players can then speak with Tomira and select the "Got a potion for Lena" dialogue option. The On Death's Bed acts as a gentle introduction for new players into several important alchemy mechanics in The Witcher 3, but it is by no means a throwaway quest.

It is a testament to The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, a game filled with important choices that players will need to make, that the results of these choices are so far-reaching. After the game's campaign, players can return to White Orchard to check on Tomira and discover how the decisions they make have impacted what is essentially a minor NPC. It really is worth doing for an example of why so many players have fallen in love with the game.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is available now on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One, with PS5 and Xbox Series X versions also in development.
