It's been a long road for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt since being revealed more than two years ago, even before "next-gen" consoles were actually revealed. Unfortunately, the game has suffered multiple delays since its reveal, but considering that it now appears to be on track for its May release date, fans are craving more information on the title.

Lucky for fans, the ambitious open-world action adventure game from developer CD Projekt Red has released a brand new 15 minute trailer showing off more gameplay from the upcoming title.

As a part of their month long coverage of The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, IGN has posted the first fifteen minutes of the game. Fans worried about spoilers should also be happy to note that the cut scenes found at the beginning of the game have been skipped completely; this presentation is only focused on gameplay. Still, there are a few story elements present in the video so tread lightly just in case.

In the footage, players will see a variety of new things outside of what has already been shown in a previous gameplay video. In addition to the griffon fight that was shown off at E3 last year, the video also gives players a great look at combat against a group of smaller enemies from humans to creatures and also shows how seamlessly Geralt is able to switch from melee to magic. Players will also notice how massive and beautiful the world looks once the map is pulled up on the screen.

Fans have been waiting for The Witcher 3 for quite a while now and based on this most recent footage, it looks to be worth the wait. With a huge map full of small icons to explore, an engrossing story line, and random encounters out in the wilderness, it will take gamers a long time to see and do everything. Just recently, senior game designer Damien Monnier, confirmed through Twitter that fans should expect to spend over 200 hours in the game world if they want to complete everything the title has to offer.

The final part of Geralt of Rivia's journey appears to be the biggest and most ambitious one yet as the game is running a brand new engine designed form the ground up to harness the power of the newer consoles and PCs. Players will be able to tweak a vast amount of settings related to the HUD or graphics and The Witcher 3 also boasts enhanced AI for both enemies and companion members. With the developer also promising free DLC to players who purchase the game, fans have a lot to be excited for once the game releases next month.
