CD Projekt Red has become a prominent developer primarily through its releases of The Witcher series. The most recent release from the developer, The Witcher 3, has had an incredible shelf-life and sold very well and the upcoming releases from the company are highly anticipated as a result. With that said the company only utilises two IPs, The Witcher and the yet to be released Cyberpunk 2077 so it is somewhat of a surprise to see the latest valuation of the Poland-based video-game company.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was critically acclaimed for its narrative, gameplay, and open world. As a result expectation for the developer's future releases is incredibly high. While some fans of the developer are concerned about its next release, Cyberpunk 2077, delivering a game that all players enjoy, it seems that many are looking forward to a new open-world title. With this positive feeling surrounding the developer, it has been announced that the company is the most valuable solely European based video-game company.

The company is currently valued at €8.01 billion (8.74 billion dollars) and this valuation competes with some of the largest global video game developers and producers. In fact, this valuation places CD Projekt Red above Ubisoft who are based in Europe and Canada by 0.19 billion euros. While Ubisoft has highly anticipated titles such as Assassin's Creed Valhalla it seems that the hype around Cyberpunk 2077 and the reputation of CD Projekt Red have created a more valuable company.  Many will now hope that CD Projekt Red can deliver another satisfying title and once again exceed the hopes of fans as the company did with The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt.

It is somewhat surprising that CD Projekt Red has been releasing mature-rated titles while cultivating a huge following. With that in mind, it seems that the expansive world and narratives the studio typically provides have managed to attract a huge adult audience. Naturally, an adult audience can purchase games with greater ease and this may be contributing to the sales of CD Projekt Red and the projected profit that the game will achieve.

Cyberpunk 2077 is not only one of the most anticipated games of the year, it is tipped to be a landmark experience in gaming. Undoubtedly, Cyberpunk 2077 has benefitted from the fan base established through The Witcher titles, and it now seems that CD Projekt Red are profiting from both IPs.
