The Tower of Gods in The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker is the third full dungeon in the game. This dungeon is an important turning point in Link's to save the Great Sea from Ganondorf's desire for conquest. The player is able to explore it after it they collect and present the three Goddess Pearls to the Goddess Statues.

It is in the Tower of Gods that Link is meant to prove his worth as a hero. Due to this purpose, the player must solve many puzzles, survive various traps, and defeat numerous enemies before they can stand victorious at the top of the tower.

11 Find The Dungeon Map

Enter the room directly to the right of the entrance. Once inside, move one of the crates so it aligns with the cracked wall in the center-right portion of the room. When the water level rises, the crate will rise as well and float next to the wall.

Hop over to the ledge by the cracked wall, place a Bomb next to it, and retreat. The wall will shatter once the Bomb explodes, revealing a hidden treasure chest. Climb into the wall and open the treasure chest claim the Dungeon Map.

10 Lower The Gate On The Eastern Side

Return to the King of Red Lions and cruise to the sealed door in the northeast section of the main chamber. Place one of the nearby statues or pots on the glowing marker to open the door and enter the room. In the room, drop down to the bottom of the center pit. Place one of the crates on the glowing marker. This will cause a magic bridge to form across the pit.

Use the ladder to return to the top. Once the water level drops again and the bridge reappears, cross it and pick up the stone pillar. Take it outside to the main chamber and place it in the nearby indentation in the floor. This will cause the large gate nearby to submerge below the water.

9 First Small Key

Cruise past the now-submerged gate and climb up on the ledge. There are two statues and glowing markers here. Place the statues on the markers to open the locked door and enter the next room.

When the water level drops, drop down into the room's lower area and align the crates so Link can jump across them. Return to the upper area and then pick up a Deku Stick and light it with the torch. While the water is high, jump across the crates while carrying the lit stick. Light the torches to reveal a chest and claim a small key.

8 Find The Compass

Move to the western side of the main chamber. Use the ship’s Bombs to destroy the cracked walls and then climb over. Swim to the locked door at the bottom of the steps and open it with the small key. Defeat all of the Golden Chuchus inside the room to create a glowing staircase that reaches the stone pillar at the top of the stone platforms in the center of the room.

Take the pillar, return to the main chamber, and place the pillar in the indentation at the top of the steps. This will cut off the flow of water from the center mouth in the main chamber. Once that path is open, enter the room to the left of the pillar. Open the chest inside to find the Compass.

7 The Second Floor

Return to the King of Red Lions and cruise over to the now-open path beneath the closed mouth and enter the next room. Place the two nearby statues on the glowing markers on the other side of the room. Be careful to evade both the Beamos and the rats while doing so.

Place the statues on two of the markers and then step on the third one. This will activate the nearby floating platforms and make them start to move up and down. Ride the platforms to the top and pass through the door and into the next room.

6 The First Statue

In this new main chamber, pass through the illuminated doorway to the right. Walk across the glowing stage and then drop down in front of the statue sitting on a raised platform. Follow the instructions on the nearby stone tablet to summon the statue from its resting place. The statue will now follow Link wherever he goes.

Guide it to back to the door and into the main chamber. From there, the statue will automatically walk onto a section of the floor that will rise to create a pedestal. Once it does, it will summon a new stone tablet. Read the tablet to learn the “Command Melody.”

5 The Second Statue & The Hero's Bow

Now that the Link knows the "Command Melody," a new door will unlock. Enter the new area and use the Grappling Hook to swing straight across the chasm. Pass through the doorway to find another room with another statue. Stand on the glowing marker and use the “Command Melody” to lead the statue back to the door.

Carry the statue through the door, set it down, and use the Grappling Hook to reach the door to the right and pass through it. Defeat the Darknut in the room to claim the Hero’s Bow. Return to the previous room and shoot the eye switch to summon a moving platform. Use the Grappling Hook to return to the statue and carry it across the platform and back to the main chamber.

4 The Third Statue

Once the second statue takes its place on its own pedestal, enter the unlocked room. Inside is a massive scale. Jump on the scale to the right and then drop down to the door. Enter the room and navigate the moving platforms, shooting the eye switches as needed. On one of the platforms, open the treasure chest to find a small key.

Return to the previous room and use the statues as counterweights so the scale will not drop when Link stands on it. Cross the scale and pass through the next door. Use the “Command Melody” to safely lead another statue back to the previous room. Use the statues as counterweights to get the statue to the other side.

3 Find The Big Key

Once the third statue stands on its pedestal, all three will unlock the path to the next floor. Stand in the light to continue upward. After reaching the next floor, place the available pots or statues on the three glowing markers next to a treasure chest blocked by electricity. After the electricity disappears, open the chest to get the Big Key. The statues in the room will come to life and attack after the key is found. Defeat them to unlock the door that leads to the next area.

2 The Boss Door

The door leads to an outside stairway that wraps up and around the tower. Ascend the stairway to reach the door to the dungeon’s boss. Destroy the Beamos statues and Kagaroks along the way. The only way to destroy the Beamos is to shoot them with arrows. Some Beamos shoot in a straight path, so they must be destroyed in order to progress. At the top, destroy the nearby pots to grab hearts and to find a Fairy. Then, unlock the door with the Big Key to enter the boss room.

1 Gohdan

To defeat the boss, Gohdan, begin by shooting both of its hands to immobilize them. Gohdan will open its eyes once the hands cannot move. Shoot both of its eyes with arrows. This will cause Gohdan to stop moving, open its mouth, and drop to the ground.

While it is on the ground, throw a Bomb into its mouth to damage it. Once the bomb explodes, the head will resume floating and the hands will move again. Repeat the entire process two more times to defeat the boss.
