Will Smith just announced that he's renting out the estate from Fresh Prince of Bel-Air on Airbnb, which sounds exactly like something he would do on the show without asking Uncle Phil. Or maybe that's something Jazz would do while Will frantically tries to convince Uncle Phil that he just has a lot of friends. Anyway, it's apparently a real house. Who knew?

In an Instagram post on September 14th, the star of Bad BoysIndependence Day, and the collective dreams of humanity shared a picture of himself and his TV best friend DJ Jazzy Jeff in front of the famous house. He captioned it with "YOOOO!! Y’all think we should rent out the @freshprince house?? We’re making it happen with the squad at @airbnb!! #FreshPrince30th" Most people would celebrate their 30th anniversary with pearls or diamonds or a really nice gift card. But obviously Will Smith isn't most people.

Starting on September 29th, Smith and Airbnb will allow 5 groups of 2 people at a time to rent out a section of the famous Banks family home. Bookings will be for $30 a night, with each group of 2 only allowed in if they already live together. This is just one of the many precautions guests will have to follow in order to protect against the spread of COVID-19.

Aside from proving they live together, renters must also follow the local prevention guidelines and rules. Airbnb is also doing their part by making sure to clean and sanitize everything regularly. But that doesn't mean guests are forbidden from exploring and having their own brand of West Philadelphia fun with Bel-Air class. The house boasts a swimming pool and basketball court, along with Will Smith's own wing of the estate which guests can venture through for one night.

This is only the most recent of Fresh Prince-related news stories this summer. The classic show recently made headlines with the announcement of a dramatic retelling series to air on NBC's Peacock streaming platform. The series, based on a viral YouTube video which re-imagined the comedy show as a drama and caught the attention of Will Smith himself, has already been ordered by Peacock for 2 seasons.

Fans of Fresh Prince of Bel-Air are sure to jump at the chance to reenact their favorite scenes in an authentic setting, though possibly without the 4th wall-breaking scene where Will points out that they're filming on a set. Though, to be perfectly honest, clearly the one thing that could make this perfect is if DJ Jazzy Jeff hung out in the house and let people throw him out the door.
