It wasn’t very long ago that Nintendo introduced the ‘Nintendo Selects’ lineup of games, which included some very popular titles for the Wii console at a discounted price. There are currently a total of four games that bare the ‘Selects’ branding, and they are: Animal Crossing: City Folk, Mario Super Sluggers, The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess, and Wii Sports. According to a recent rumor however, the number of Wii games that Nintendo is offering for $19.99 is about to double. Double rainbow.

As Kotaku reports, some sources inside of retail have broken news that Nintendo plans on adding four brand-new old games to fall under the ‘Nintendo Selects’ moniker. The games rumored to be getting in on the bargain pricing are certainly some of the best games that have been released on the console thus far, and dropping their prices should ensure that anyone who doesn’t already own one can now afford to.

Fans of Super Mario rejoice, because there are abundance of Wii games that will apparently be coming to you on-the-cheap in the very near future. The games in question are none other than:

As many Wii owners already know, these are actually some pretty fun games, and if they are indeed joining the prestigious ranks of the other ‘Nintendo Selects’ then it’s not really surprising. Now, the real question is “When are these games suppose to be getting a price drop?”. The answer to that question is that all four of the titles are rumored to be hopping on the ‘Nintendo Selects’ bandwagon on August 28.

Nintendo has yet to release any information regarding whether or not these Wii games, or any others, will be added to their ‘Nintendo Selects’ lineup, so none of these are 100% confirmed. However, all of the rumored titles seem like likely additions, so stay tuned for an official confirmation from Nintendo in the near future.

Which games would you like to see added to the ‘Nintendo Selects’ roster?
