In recent years, FaZe Clan has faced its share of controversies. But when the popular esports organization started trending on Twitter, it was not because of a new lawsuit or scandal. Instead, team members and fans are currently building up hype for FaZe Clan's tenth anniversary.

On May 24, FaZe announced a new gaming tournament to celebrate its tenth anniversary. The Clan's official Twitter account updated to tease a YouTube livestream at 12 pm Pacific Standard Time for the anniversary. Now, FaZe has also announced a new giveaway for this special occasion. In order to win a special FaZe chain and pendant, Twitter users can reply with a tweet telling the esports team what the merch would mean to them.

Fans responded with stories about how they encountered FaZe, and how the Clan has impacted them personally. Some fans talked about how they had been around since its early days. While they are not looking to win the chain, FaZe members chimed in to express their love for the team. While members and fans alike celebrated the team, FaZe's founder Ricky Banks also contributed to the tag's rising popularity. In his own tweet, he reminded the community that FaZe was "already hiring." His invitation to all "creative unique talent" drew several responses asking to join the esports organization.

Two major threads inviting fan responses allowed FaZe Clan to briefly rocket to the top of Twitter's trends. As FaZe's anniversary draws closer, it will be interesting to see more fans and influencers come out for the main event on May 30.
