Whether Jack White wants it or not, three White Stripes songs will be coming out next week as our weekly dose of Rock Band DLC. Along with quite a few other musicians, Jack White of the White Stripes has been quite vocal about his distaste for music rhythm games. Even so, his record label likes money so what better way to make said money, than to put one of your most popular acts into Rock Band.

Angry rock stars aside, 1UP has reported that this week's batch of Rock Band DLC will consist of:

  • "Smash It Up (Part II)" by The Damned
  • "Club Foot" by Kasabian
  • "Dead Leaves and the Dirty Ground" by The White Stripes
  • "Girl, You Have No Faith in Medicine" by The White Stripes
  • "Icky Thump" by The White Stripes

For those of you playing Rock Band: Unplugged, you will get the chance to rock out in public to No Doubt's "Excuse Me Mr." and "I'm Shipping Up To Boston" by Dropkick Murphys.

As usual, pricing will be $1.99 for each song (160 Microsoft points), while the White Stripes pack will cost you $5.49 (440 Microsoft points).

Ready your plastic instruments. The White Stripes DLC will hit the Xbox 360 and Wii on Tuesday, November 10, while the PS3 and PSP will have to wait until Thursday, November 12.

Do you think that Jack White is right in condemning music games? Are they truly the direction that the music industry is headed?
