While maybe not as widely advertised as Microsoft or Sony's offerings, publisher Nacon recently held an E3-like presentation of its own to announce new titles, such as a new entry in the open-world racing series Test Drive Unlimited.

Another game shown off was Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood, an action-RPG based on the tabletop game of the same name. For those that don't know, the game puts players in control of eco-terrorist Cahal, who battles against the Pentex corporation, which is causing pollution and generally harming the environment.

The new trailer is really short, barely under a minute long, and only shows off quick snippets of gameplay of Cahal in his three different forms. In his human form, we see him doing some stealth action, taking down one guard in a vein similar to the Batman Arkham games, though he is armed with a crossbow of some sort as well.

Cahal can also turn into a regular wolf, but we see even less of that and what we do briefly see is him, again, being stealthy to avoid being spotted by guards. Most of the trailer is dedicated to Cahal in his werewolf form, battling regular humans, machines, and other monsters (including what looks like another werewolf).

Despite his size, Cahal is surprisingly nimble, delivering quick slashes and even launching foes into the air that might remind some of other action games like Devil May Cry. The fact that the only action in the trailer is reserved for the werewolf could imply that it's the only form where players will get to properly engage in combat, with the human and wolf forms reserved primarily for stealth.

But the one explicitly new piece of info we did get is that the game will see release in February next year and it also come to next-gen systems, namely the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

Fans of the World of Darkness universe certainly have quite the number of games to look forward to in the future, as the Vampire: The Masquerade series is getting a couple of new entries as well, with Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines 2 also set for a next-gen release and Nacon also publishing its own Vampire title, Swansong.

Werewolf: The Apocalypse - Earthblood will release on February 4th, 2020 for PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X.
