It’s finally here. E3 is upon us and naturally gamers everywhere are waiting anxiously for updates about their most anticipated upcoming games, as well as some new announcements. Among the biggest game studios holding a press conference this week is Electronic Arts, who looks to have quite a bit to share during their event on Monday, June 15th at 1:00 p.m. PDT.
EA will be discussing at least a dozen games, plus providing a couple surprises. EA’s pre-E3 press release shared a little information about what gamers can expect to see during their press conference, most notably that the publisher will be discussing Star Wars Battlefront, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst, and Need for Speed.
It’s no surprise that EA will be making Star Wars Battlefront the focal point of their event. Few other games coming out this year have as much hype as the Frostbite-driven Star Wars game. Additionally, Mirror’s Edge Catalyst has long been requested by gamers who played the first one, and Need for Speed is likely to excite those who enjoyed the customization available in the franchise’s Underground series.
In addition to the above games, EA is also planning to provide new information about these other new titles as well:
- FIFA 16
- EA SPORTS FIFA
- Madden NFL 16
- Madden NFL Mobile
- Minions Paradise
- NBA Live 16
- NHL 16
- EA SPORTS Rory McIlroy PGA TOUR
- Star Wars: The Old Republic – Knights of the Fallen Empire Expansion
Along with releasing more information about their upcoming games, EA is also planning to give show-goers an opportunity to try the games for themselves at Booth #1601 (for those planning to attend the event).
Gamers can also look forward to new game reveals by EA, including at least one new game coming to the publisher’s Xbox One exclusive service, EA Access Vault. Also, with both Dragon Age: Inquisition and Battlefield Hardline now past their peak, it’s possible (but unlikely) that EA is planning to announce the next installment for either or both franchises. It’s also expected that Mass Effect 4 will make an appearance during the conference.
