Releasing earlier this week, Watch Dogs: Legion has already managed to gain a lot of attention online, with its unique mechanic that allows players to assume the role of any NPC leading to some amazing viral videos and content. However, the game's next-gen console releases still have a lot in store for players, with the Series X and PS5 poised to bring out Legion's most impressive technical features.

Those wondering what to expect from these upgrades are in luck, with Ubisoft recently posting a new trailer that covers exactly what Xbox Series X players can expect when they access their copy of Watch Dogs: Legion this November. In short, it seems the enhanced version of the game will feature state of the art visuals, unparalleled loading times, and a much smoother gameplay experience.

Speaking on the next-generation version of the game, live producer Lathieeshe Thillainathan and lead programmer Gavin Whitlock are quick to flaunt the game's advanced visuals during the Series X focused promo. According to Whitlock, the game will run at a solid 4K resolution and a consistent 30 FPS, which the programmer claims makes for an incredibly "cinematic" gameplay experience when partnered with the Series X's ray-tracing software. Thillainathan goes on to showcase the look of the city through several striking gameplay sections, highlighting the scope of the world and how intricate its 4k visuals can be. Specifically, he highlights the lifelike reflections, noting how ray-tracing makes Legion's futuristic view of London more immersive than ever.

Due to the console's SSD, Whitlock also reveals that the world is almost seamless. This will allegedly affect more than just loading screens as well, with the programmer noting how it makes for a smoother driving experience at high speeds. Finally, Whitlock discusses how environments come loaded with more visual fidelity than ever before, with enhanced target renders, shadows, textures, and geometry. It seems the game will look to offer the ultimate Watch Dogs: Legion experience for Xbox Series X players.

Of course, the game's visual upgrades will be available through Xbox's Smart Delivery service, meaning those who recently bought the title on Xbox One can enjoy the Series X version free of charge when they upgrade to the console. All in all, it seems Ubisoft is making significant steps to offer a version of Watch Dogs: Legion befitting of such a giant leap in hardware. It will be available on the Xbox Series X and S when the consoles launch on November 10.

Watch Dogs Legion will launch October 29 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. The game will launch with the Xbox Series X on November 10 and the PS5 on November 24.
