The newest update for Watch Dogs: Legion has been delayed. Update 4.0 was scheduled to release sometime in April, but Ubisoft has run into some issues, and the deployment of the Watch Dogs: Legion patch has been moved accordingly.

Watch Dogs: Legion released in October of 2021 to solid reviews, but no game is perfect. The game utilizes a bug reporter that players can submit issues in to pass along problems within the game. Update 4.0 was set to address multiple bugs as well include general game improvements--and that will still be the case--but fans will have to wait a bit longer to see it go live.

According to a post on the official Twitter page of Watch Dogs, the newest update will be released on May 4, 2021. This is not too big of a difference from the April timeframe that was originally planned, so fans likely won't get too excited about the change. Additionally, as long as the problems are fixed in the end, most will be happy. That being said, the PC version of Watch Dogs: Legion multiplayer was also delayed--as console players got started on that without a hiccup--so the community may start to get bothered by the continual start and stops by Ubisoft on the delay front.

This particular 4.0 update does not seem to be a content or feature-heavy one, which is fine, as gameplay improvements and bug fixes are certainly important. However, the crossplay and cross-gen support for Watch Dogs Legion that will come with a future update is something that many fans have their eyes on.

Watch Dogs Legion is available now for PC, PS4, PS5, Stadia, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X|S.
