Watch Dogs: Legion was just released, giving players a third opportunity to turn an open world into a playground through hacking. Although the game is unlikely to bring back Marcus Holloway from Watch Dogs 2, fans of the original game are excited that Aiden Pearce will be available in the game. But not everyone will have access to him.

Who is Aiden Pearce

Pearce was the protagonist for the first Watch Dogs game, released back in 2014. While he doesn't appear in the base version of Watch Dogs: Legion, Ubisoft is rewriting part of the campaign to bring Pearce back into the fold of the story. During an AMA on Reddit, Legion's live producer Lathieeshe Thillainathan wrote: "We are writing the full single-player story again with Aiden’s personality. When you replay the main missions again, Aiden will be integrated into all the original cinematics.” Aiden Pearce will be part of the first big DLC drop for Watch Dogs: Legion, called Bloodline.

This new, updated Pearce will be several years older, as quite some time has passed since the first game. Aiden Pearce will be in Watch Dogs: Legion only after the DLC is released in 2021. Although the DLC isn't set to drop for several months, some fans are interested to know how to get him.

How to Get Aiden Pearce

There is only one way to get Aiden Pearce for the DLC campaign of Watch Dogs: Legion: buy the season pass. Players who purchased any special edition of the game will automatically have the season pass. Those who just bought the basic edition can buy the season pass for $40 USD. At this time, there is no indication that there will be another way to unlock Pearce.

Once he's unlocked, Aiden will be available as part of the main campaign, his own unique story, and the DLC. The Bloodline DLC will also feature other familiar faces, including Wrench from Watch Dogs 2, and Darcy from Assassin's Creed. The last character that will be added is a woman named Mina who has mind-control powers. While some players might prefer to play as their own "Play-as-Anyone" Watch Dog character, these four additions will add some interesting changes to Legion.

In addition to the Bloodlines DLC, Watch Dogs: Legion will have at least one more DLC. Although there are few details available about it, the next DLC could offer significant additions to the main story and is part of the Season Pass.

Watch Dogs: Legion is now available for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One, and will be coming to PS5 and Xbox Series X and S.
