Only three weeks remain until Watch Dogs Legion finally launches, and now that Ubisoft has detailed much of what fans can expect from the base game, it has opened up more on what’s coming afterwards. Today, the publisher laid out its plans for Watch Dogs Legion’s DLC, revealing in the process that the game’s post-launch content will let players run around its version of London as a member of Assassin’s Creed’s Assassin Brotherhood.

Along with new modes and missions, additional content will come with the game’s season pass. This will include a story expansion called Bloodlines, the DLC that will star original Watch Dogs protagonist Aiden Pearce. The expansion will see Pearce team up with a number of other playable characters, including Wrench from Watch Dogs 2 and a new character named Mina, a subject of transhuman experiments with the ability to control minds.

Rounding off the new characters is Darcy, a modern-day Assassin. Fans have known that Legion will reference Assassin’s Creed to some extent, as Ubisoft has confirmed that the game’s wide selection of playable NPCs will include a descendant of an Assassin’s Creed protagonist. And now they will be able to play as an actual Assassin as well, though Ubisoft didn’t offer any clues as to Darcy’s abilities or role in Bloodlines’ story.

There’s been plenty of speculation among fans lately that a crossover between the two franchises could happen, given the connections between Watch Dogs and Assassin’s Creed. However, Ubisoft says that Darcy’s inclusion isn’t setting up any sort of crossover, as it actually isn’t canon to the AC games. “We're not saying they're in the same canon or building something massive that way,” producer Lathieeshe Thillainathan told GameSpot. “It's just to really have fun and build a character that is heavily inspired by Assassin's Creed.”

Aside from the Bloodlines DLC, Ubisoft confirmed that Watch Dogs Legion’s post-launch roadmap will add new missions and character types to the base game, as well as introduce new modes. These will include both co-op missions and a PVP mode that will be added in a free update on December 3. Additionally, future updates will add content like the return of the series’ Invasion mode, which will let players jump into other players' games and try to hunt them down.

Between these new modes, the story expansion, and new characters like Darcy, it looks like players will have a lot to look forward to outside of Watch Dogs Legion’s base game. As for Darcy’s inclusion, it might not be the fully modern Assassin’s Creed game that some fans have asked for through the years, but it should give them a good taste of the possibilities.

Watch Dogs Legion will launch on October 29 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. The game will launch with the Xbox Series X on November 10, while the PS5 version will come out on November 24.
