Last month, Nvidia released the RTX 3090, one of the company's latest video cards taking over the graphics market right now. Of course, given its $1,500 price tag, much is expected from the RTX 3090, and it's even said to be the fastest GPU on the market that's even capable of 8K gaming. However, it appears now that one thing the RTX 3090 can't do is to run Watch Dogs Legion in 4K/Ultra with a consistent 60 fps.

This claim came from YouTuber RajmanGamingHD, who shared a video from the built-in benchmark tool in Watch Dogs Legion. As shown in the video, the user ran Watch Dogs: Legion with Ultra settings and the game barely registered 60 fps, given that the frame rate keeps dropping and averages between 54 and 44 fps. During scenes that contain explosions and the like, the framerate even dropped to 47 fps, and it is worth noting that this test run was done without ray-tracing effects.

Given the RTX 3090's steep price tag, these benchmark results are disappointing, especially since Watch Dogs Legion is a cross-generation game and not a true next-gen title. Of course, there may be other factors that weren't shown in the video, but if the RTX 3090 is truly incapable of running Watch Dogs Legion at 4K/60fps, players shouldn't expect much from the RTX 3080 and other less powerful GPUs. Although the PS5 and Xbox Series X are still unreleased, Ubisoft revealed that both consoles would be able to run the game at 4K/30 fps with ray tracing on. Of course, the console benchmarks are less powerful than the RTX 3090 but not by much, especially since the test done on the RTX 3090 was without ray-tracing effects.

Meanwhile, PC players should know that Watch Dogs Legion is now available to preload, and those who are looking to play the game the second its available should start downloading it right now. Overall, the PC version of Watch Dogs Legion will be approximately 40.4 GB. Moreover, PC players should know that Watch Dogs Legion will not is exclusive to the Epic Games Store or Ubisoft Connect and will not be available in other launchers such as Steam.

Moreover, Ubisoft also released a gameplay trailer for Watch Dogs Legion that highlights its co-op mode. According to Ubisoft, up to three players can band together and form a group to tackle the many challenges and missions that the game has to offer. In co-op mode, players will also need to rely on their teammates' skills to complete tasks, take on difficult missions, and explore the vast open-world environment of the fictionalized version of London. Of course, players will be able to experience Watch Dogs Legion soon, now that the game is literally just around the corner.

Watch Dogs Legion will launch October 29 for PC, PS4, Stadia, and Xbox One. The game will launch with the Xbox Series X on November 10 and the PS5 on November 24.
