Watch Dogs 2 offers players plenty of goodies to spend in-game currency on, so fans will want to take note of these quick ways to earn money in the sandbox hacking game.

Although the first game was met with mixed reviews, Ubisoft's Watch Dogs 2 is one of the most anticipated releases this fall. The sequel launched with some multiplayer problems on day one, but there are plenty of single player objectives to tackle while that fix is being rolled out. The open world hacking game sets players loose in San Francisco and in order to enjoy the city to its fullest, we recommend getting a large stack of cash first.

Watch Dogs 2 players need cash for a number of things; including buying new clothing and appearances and 3D printing new items. There are a lot of ways to make money while exploring San Fran, but here are a few that we recommend tackling early to build up a nice savings account...

Hack Bystanders

Much like Grand Theft Auto and every other sandbox game, Watch Dogs 2 is full of NPC bystanders that players can rob blind. Unlike GTA though, the theft isn't nearly as violent in Watch Dogs 2. When players walk by an NPC, they can hold down L1 or LB to open the hacking options and then see if there is a blue dollar sign available. If so, players can easily snag up to $70 with the click of a button. That isn't a ton of cash in the grand scheme of things, but there is a way to increase the amount available.

By dumping a few research points into the Social Engineering tree, players can grab an upgrade called Improved Profiler. Once obtained, NPCs with the cash sign now never give less than $400 and can actually have up $1,000 payouts. Not bad for a quick and easy two button cyber heist.

Trade at the Pawn Shops

Every time Marcus 'borrows' a car off the street, the protagonist pockets anything valuable that was in the glovebox. If there is cash in the car, it will automatically be added to your account, but more often there will be items like tablets or laptops that will be added to your inventory. Players can then visit any pawn shop around the city and all stolen items will automatically be sold in exchange for their value. Depending on how frequently players go to the pawn shop to trade in their hardware, these exchanges can lead to thousands of dollars.

Find the Money Bags

Money bags will spawn randomly throughout the map and appear as a blue diamond with a white dollar sign on it. Some of these can be picked up with little to no interference, while others will be located in restricted zones and require some stealthing or shooting. The amount of cash in these bags varies pretty greatly, but in general you'll get much more than you would be able to hack from a group of bystanders or a trip to the pawn shop. Some of the rarest bags hold upwards of $20,000; so we recommend making detours to pick these up just about any time you see one on the map.
