While virtually any vehicle can be found on the in-game Car On Demand app, they only unlock once the car itself has been purchased. Most cars can only be purchased from specific dealerships, and many might be too expensive for certain players to purchase. Fortunately, many of the cars can also be found parked or driving around San Francisco, making it easy for players to find the car they're looking for.

Updated August 17, 2023 by Jason Van Duine: The San Francisco of Watch Dogs 2 is a big place. Fortunately, the game gives players plenty of vehicles to explore the city with. From sleek sports cars to emergency vehicles, there's plenty for players to choose from when it comes to selecting their ride.

With so many options, it can be understandable if players might feel overwhelmed. So it's helpful for players to know not just what the best cars in the game are, but also where and how players can find them.

15 Sculptor 2.5R

The Sculptor 2.5R is a nice car for players looking for a well-balanced vehicle to traverse with. This car might not have quite as good acceleration as some of the other cars in the game, but it makes up for it by balancing out in other areas. While lacking some of the style of some of the other cars in Watch Dogs 2, it still comes with great speed and handling, able to cruise around the busy streets with ease.

While free in the original Watch Dogs, here it can be purchased from the Total Motors auto dealership for $15,000.

14 Adamant S-Series

A car that looks nice and can get players places, the Adamant S-Series is a car to behold. The Adamant S-Series can reach very high speeds and also has some of the best acceleration of all the muscle cars in the game. Along with this, the car has pretty good handling, so it's easy for players to have fun driving around at high speeds.

The Adamant S-Series can be purchased from the Total Motors car dealership for $25,000. Alternatively, it can be seen being driven around the Oakland area of the map.

13 Boxberg R1

For players looking to speed through the streets and highways of San Francisco, it's pretty difficult to beat the Boxberg R1. Simply put, the Boxberg R1 is one of the fastest cars in Watch Dogs 2. With both absolutely excellent high speeds and acceleration, the Boxberg R1 is the ideal choice for players wanting to go fast, whether it's during missions or just zooming around the map.

What's more, is that the Boxberg R1 also has pretty decent handling, so while players are driving fast, they'll still be able to handle the car fairly well. The only downside is the low durability, but it seems to be a pretty fair trade for what the car excels in. The Boxberg R1 can be bought at the Auto Elite car dealership for $180,000.

12 Magnate

watch dogs 2 magnate (1)

The Magnate is a car that is both stylish and performs remarkably well. It comes with remarkable speed and acceleration, allowing players to easily speed through San Francisco. But along with that, both its durability and handling are fairly good, meaning that not only can players drive the Magnate quickly, but also with relative ease.

11 Asteria Prime

While some players may not have a Tesla in real life, they can drive the Asteria Prime in Watch Dogs 2, which is the next best thing. The Asteria Prime is the Tesla of the Watch Dogs universe, and while looking nice it also handles fairly well. It can move quickly with good enough traction and handling so players can cruise around San Francisco with it easily.

The Asteria Prime can be purchased from the Auto Elite car dealership for $36,000. Alternatively, it can sometimes be found in the parking lot of the Blume Corporation or be seen driven around by civilians.

10 Vespid 5.2

Vespid_5.2

The Vespid 5.2 is one of the many great muscle cars featured in Watch Dogs 2. Apart from its cool design, it handles itself quite well with excellent top speed and acceleration. It's also highly effective against bullets and explosives, making it a great car to use when evading enemies and the police.

If players have the cash, it can be purchased from the Auto Elite car dealership for $32,499. If that's too expensive, the car can also be found in Golden Gate Park, Hook Motion Pictures, and in the parking lot of Fort Point.

9 Sonarus LX

maxresdefault (4) (1)

The Sonarus LX is an overall well-balanced vehicle, being able to carry four people very easily. It has a high top speed and acceleration and also doesn't lose control of itself easily.

In Watch Dogs 2, players can find both a civilian vehicle and one used by Unemi as security patrol cars. The main location where this can be found is the Auto Elite car dealership for $30,000, though it can sometimes spawn as part of Unemi's security.

8 Hailkal R

Hailkal 4 (1)

What the Hailkal R lacks in durability, it makes up for everywhere else. The top speed and acceleration of the Hailkal R are both fantastic, allowing it to travel at very high speeds. The car also has excellent handling, being able to make sharp turns with ease. If players want to drive this car, the only place where it can be found is at the Total Motors car dealership, costing $22,500.

7 Zusume R

The in-game Car On Demand app describes the Zusume R as being popular with the younger crowd, and any test drive with it will have players seeing why. All-in-all, the Zusume R is a fantastic car to use throughout the entire game. With decent top speed and excellent acceleration, the Zusume R can go quite fast if the player wants it to.

It also has near-perfect handling, and acceptable durability to go against other hostile cars. What's even better is that players can get the Zusume R for free on the Car On Demand app right from the beginning of the game. It can also be found on display or parked at the Total Motors car dealership or being driven around San Francisco or Oakland.

6 Scafati GT

Scafati gt (1)

Considering its quality and commonality, the Scafati GT is a great car to choose. Being a performance car, it has extremely high top speed and acceleration for players who want to drive as fast as possible and can even outrun other performance cars.

The handling is very nice and while the durability isn't great in general, it does have higher durability than most performance cars, making it one of the best in its category. Overall it's a great choice, especially for evading the police. The Scafati GT can be purchased from the Auto Elite car dealership for $360,000.

5 Papavero

Papavero

Another great sports car is the Papavero, being able to outrun the police easily. The car is fitted with excellent top speed and acceleration, making it ideal to evade the police or simply cruising around San Francisco with speed.

It has decent handling and performs well off-road should the player venture away from the city. Unfortunately, it doesn't have the best durability, but considering how fast it can drive, it shouldn't be too much of a problem. Players can find the Papavero at the Auto Elite car dealership costing $162,000.

4 Fire Truck

Despite being an emergency service vehicle, the Fire Truck is one of the best cars players can find around San Francisco. Since it's intended to reach locations quickly, the Fire Truck has fantastic top speed and is quite fast for a heavy vehicle.

RELATED: Watch Dogs 2: Most Useful Hacks

Ideal for firefights, the Fire Truck is extremely durable, being able to take on a number of bullets and explosions and even an IED with ease. It can also plow through most cars, including the police. Players can get the Fire Truck by traveling to the fire stations at either Silicon Valley or Stanford University.

3 Dangerzone

The_Dangerzone

There are many special vehicles in Watch Dogs 2, but the Dangerzone is one of the finest. A re-painted Baumsteiger, the Dangerzone surpasses its parent vehicle in that it has fantastic top speed and acceleration as well as some of the best handling of any car in the game. Unfortunately, the Dangerzone is not very durable, so players should seek out this car only if they plan for a relatively peaceful drive.

The Dangerzone can be found inside the garage of the SVNR building nearby the Nudle headquarters. To get the car, players will have to use the RC Jumper to sneak inside, where they'll be able to find a red hacking terminal inside a wooden crate. Players can use this to open the left garage door where the Dangerzone is parked.

2 Fiammetta

Fiammetta-WD2-front

The Fiammetta is often considered to be one of the finest cars the player can find in Watch Dogs 2. It's the fastest car in the game and overall has extremely good handling, even if it does have a tendency to have oversensitive steering. It also has relatively low durability, but that is to be expected in a performance car.

While it is one of the best cars in the game, it's also one of the most expensive, costing $700,000 from the Auto Elite car dealership. The car can also be found parked around Stanford University and Nudle headquarters.

1 CHP-AAD

maxresdefault (5) (1)

Otherwise known as CHIP, the CHP-AAD is one of the best cars in the game and, if players play through the main campaign, is entirely free. The car is designed for the fictional film CyberDriver, based loosely on KITT from the television series Knight Rider. As such, it excels in virtually every category, being extremely fast and durable while also handling itself exceptionally well.

During the third story mission aptly titled "CyberDriver," players are tasked with stealing the car from the set to repurpose it as the "official" DedSec car. From this point on, the player can always order the CHP-AAD whenever they want, which will always appear as the DedSec variant. However, all of the excellent stats the original car boasts will remain.

Watch Dogs 2 is available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Microsoft Windows, and Stadia.
