Now that Call of Duty: Warzone has been out for a few days, players are naturally beginning to unravel the mysteries and secrets behind the gameplay and design of the franchises’ newest battle royale mode. Players have made quick work of exploring the previously revealed map and locations that make up the Warzone map.

Unfortunately, players are also quickly discovering some fairly broken glitches and exploits within Warzone. The newest and perhaps most noteworthy exploit that has been discovered allows players to stay in the gas ring that closes in on players as the match progresses.

When Warzone was officially revealed with a trailer only a few short days ago, members of the Call of Duty community were eager to dive in and see how this new take on battle royale compared to the previous efforts of Blackout. Naturally, the two modes share some key similarities and differences. However, Warzone seems to be taking steps to differentiate itself enough to be worthwhile.

Signs of Warzone’s initial success are already showing, with the game pulling in a huge player count in its first 24 hours. Although, more players means more opportunities to find faults and issues with the game’s current build. This brings up the topic of the newest exploit found by players, which involves surviving the closing gas ring. Players have discovered that teammates can revive each other continuously inside the gas ring and survive long enough to win the match.

Naturally, players brought up their complaints to Infinity Ward, who’ve thankfully already started working on a fix for the issues. The team took to it’s official Twitter account saying, “We’re rolling out a playlist update across all platforms that fixes an exploit where players could counter the gas ring while in Battle Royale.” This is not the first complaint that fans have levied at Infinity Ward regarding Warzone. Already, an update is rolling out to fix the lack of sound that player footsteps make during gameplay.

For now, it seems like the gas ring exploit has been fixed, as reviving teammates in rotation inside the gas ring now does not trigger the health bar to fully regenerate. While this exploit seems to be solved, there’s no telling when another glitch or exploit may be discovered. Until then, hopefully, Infinity Ward will be able to keep up with the maintaining Warzone and keep the game interesting enough for day one player-base to stay engaged.
