Call of Duty's Warzone and Cold War integration was an incredible change to the game. Thirty new guns were added, and players could fight on the new map, Rebirth Island. The update also brought a number of glitches and bugs that hampered players' ability to enjoy the game. The integration was one of the biggest updates in Call of Duty history and the first integration between two Call of Duty games.

Raven had a tall task to integrate all of the guns, perks, attachments, as well as optimize Rebirth Island. Seasoned Call of Duty players know that small problems will usually arise after a large update. However, several game breaking glitches and annoying bugs made Warzone frustrating to play in the couple of days following the update. Raven has been hard at work to fix all of the issues after the update, but some of them have still yet to be fixed. The community is hopeful that Raven's responsiveness will be a trend in the following weeks and seasons. So far, Raven is listening to the community and patching issues as quick as possible.

10 Invisibility Glitch

In the 24 hours following the update, players could be invisible for an entire Warzone match. Thankfully, Treyarch and Raven patched the glitch on December 17th. If players were in the chopper gunner, were killed and then revived, they would be invisible for the entire match. Players were outraged as they assumed they were dying to hackers, but kill cams revealed that they were killed by invisible operators roaming the map.

9 Loadout Bug

The loadout bug is unfortunately still affecting players on all platforms. When a player tries to get their loadout, the game freezes for up to thirty seconds, which usually results in an early and unexpected death. This is particularly a problem on Rebirth Island, where getting a loadout is incredibly difficult.

Nothing is worse than dying while stuck trying to get a loadout, especially when players will camp free loadout drops for half of the match. Fingers crossed that Raven will find a way to patch the bug soon. A speculative patch will be released on December 19th.

8 Store Invisible Wall

A potion of the PC community have reported an invisible wall near all stores in Verdansk. The wall usually appears when approaching the store or after making a purchase. The glitch is relatively harmless, but very annoying. In late game situations, or when taking fire, the bug can be frustrating.

7 Cold War Weapons

The Cold War weapons have a number of issues. While this technically is not a glitch, it needs to be patched soon. All of the weapons stats, damage ranges, and recoil patterns to not match Cold War multiplayer. Increased recoil and low bullet velocity make many of the Cold War weapons difficult to use in Warzone.

6 Unlimited Stim Shot Glitch

Once again, players can abuse the unlimited stim shot glitch to stay alive in the gas. At the end of the loading screen, if players throw a grenade and pick it back up, they can get unlimited tactical items. This means that at the end of the game, any player that does this will be able to sit in the gas and win without firing a bullet. Another potentially game breaking glitch has returned to Verdansk. An update is in the works to patch the glitch on December 19th.

5 Seasonal Challenge Progression

Many players were having issues with the seasonal challenges. Some of the challenges would not update after games, and others would reset and not allow players to unlock them. Raven claims that this will be patched in the December 19th update. For Warzone players, not having challenges and tokens makes leveling guns incredibly difficult.

4 XP Tokens

After the December 16th update, players lost all of the XP tokens they unlocked in the prior six seasons. This has since been patched, and players should have all of their XP tokens. Players had to grind to get the necessary attachments for the new Cold War weapons. With King Slayer Trios removed, players had to play plunder without their hard earned XP tokens. Finally, the community will be able to level up all of the new weapons faster and use them in Warzone.

3 Match Summary Screen Issues

Players were having trouble accessing the match summary screen following matches. Additionally, the plunder game mode still freezes for about thirty seconds following the end of the match. These are seemingly insignificant glitches, but they are small details that should have been fixed in the prior two patches. Raven has shown initiative since the issues on the 16th and these small problems should be fixed soon.

2 Attachment Issues

A large number of players were having problems equipping the higher level attachments on their Cold War weapons. For some reason the attachments would appear locked when they were unlocked, or random errors codes would appear. The Warzone community was disappointed that they could not use all the attachments that took an eternity to level up. This issue should also be fixed by December 19th.

Players reported having randomly generated unlock levels for weapons and attachments. For example a gun that should be unlocked at level 23 was displayed as being unlocked at level 50. The same issues were reported with attachments on all of the Cold War weapons. The issues have been patched, but players are astonished by all of the bugs and glitches after the new update.

1 No Viable Supressor

monolithic supressor

Leaks and teasers for the Cold War integration suggested that weapons and attachments would be integrated into Warzone seamlessly. The attachments on December 16th were exact copies of the attachments in Cold War multiplayer and were not adjusted to be viable in Warzone.

Nearly every custom gun in Warzone has a monolithic suppressor. The attachment provides reduced recoil, increased damage range, and sound suppression. Raven had to patch the game to change the suppressor stats for the Black Ops weapons. Surely Raven did not intend to leave all of the statistics and attachments the same as in Cold War. Warzone is a completely different game, and Raven most likely made a mistake in the update.
