The WarioWare series has always been loved for the unique nature of its gameplay, featuring micro-games. Now, with WarioWare: Get It Together!, the addition of a slew of new playable characters has taken the series to a new level. How do these new characters stack up against each other?

18 Young Cricket

Young Cricket WarioWare

This martial artist in training can move left or right, and jump. He can jump higher if the player holds down the A button held down, allowing him to reach nearly the top of the screen of whatever microgame he's in. He is one of the earliest characters available, as he is unlocked in the very first stage of the game.

17 18-Volt

18 Volt WarioWare

This oversized 4th grader (yes, that's right) is incapable of movement, but he can fire the CD in his hair in any direction an infinite number of times, making him one of the simplest characters in the game. Gamers have plenty of time to use him too, as he is also unlocked in the very first stage.

16 Mona

Mona WarioWare

A peppy high school student who has far too many jobs, Mona rides around her scooter to fly anywhere across the screen. The cost is that she can only stop when she throws her boomerang with the A button, which has incredible range and is completely controllable. Mona is unlocked at the second stage.

15 Dribble and Spitz

Dribble and Spitz WarioWare

These animalistic taxi drivers may have bad luck when it comes to collecting fares, but not when it comes to winning microgames. Dribble and Spitz each carry a blaster that only faces in one direction (right for Dribble, left for Spitz), which can be used to collect objects or destroy enemies.

Dribble is always player 1, while Spitz is player 2. This means that those on single player will only ever control Dribble. Dribble and Spitz are unlocked at their respective stage, which opens at the time as Dr. Crygor's and 9-Volt's.

14 Dr. Crygor

Dr. Crygor WarioWare

A scientist who may or may not be slightly unhinged, Dr. Crygor has excellent mobility. He can swim anywhere across the current microgame if the player holds down the A button and moves the control stick in the respective direction. Dr. Crygor is unlocked at the same time as 9-Volt and Dribble.

13 9-Volt

9Volt WarioWare

9-Volt is quite possibly the single biggest video game lover to ever exist, as all of his stages throughout the WarioWare series are themed around games from Nintendo's history. 9-Volt rides around on his skateboard with constant movement left and right, only stopping when he throws his yo-yo with the A button. The yo-yo can only be aimed directly upwards relative to his current postion, making his playstyle all about timing. 9-Volt is unlocked at the sime time as Dribble and Dr. Crygor.

12 Kat and Ana

Kat and Anna WarioWare

They're a pair of kindergarteners who love nature and food, but that doesn't stop them from using their ninja abilities to save the day when the time calls for it. Both Kat and Ana never stop jumping and can only face one direction (right for Kat, left for Ana). They can also fire shuriken in their respective direction. Much like with Dribble and Spitz, Kat is always player 1 while Ana is always player 2. Kat and Ana are unlocked at the 7th stage in the game.

11 Jimmy T

Jimmy T WarioWare

A sports expert, fitness lover, and talented disco dancer, there is so much to love about Jimmy T. He is completely immobile until the player presses the A button while holding the joystick in any direction, at which time he dashes across the screen in said direction. This can be done and midair and has infinite uses, giving him both mobility and speed. Jimmy T. is unlocked at his respective stage, which opens at the same time as Ashley and Orbulon's stages.

10 Orbulon

Orbulon WarioWare

Orbulon is an extraordinarily intelligent alien who swears he will take over Earth...one day. He flies around the screen in his UFO that has a tractor beam that can only fire downwards. Not only can this beam damage enemies and obstacles, but also remove certain hazards, something no other character can do. Orbulon is unlocked at the same time as Jimmy T. and Ashley.

9 5-Volt

5Volt Wario Ware

5-Volt is the mother of 9-Volt. She's a hard worker and as sweet as she can be...until she gets angry, of course. Nobody would want to feel her rage.

Her anger causes her to have "out of body experiences," which she uses to teleport around the screen to wherever the player tells her to. This allows her to warp to almost anywhere, even into completely enclosed spaces. 5-Volt is unlocked at the second remix stage.

8 Red

Red WarioWare

Red is Ashley's timid yet loyal sidekick. He can fly anywhere just like Ashley can, but his biggest drawback is that he can only attack downwards with his bombs. These bombs have much greater range and power than most other projectiles, however. Red is unlocked at the All Mixed Up stage.

7 Master Mantis

Master Mantis WarioWare

Master Mantis is Young Cricket's teacher in his quest to become a Kung Fu master, and is said to be quite the skilled fighter himself (although nobody has ever actually seen him fight). Master Mantis has the exact same controls as Young Cricket, with one big difference. Mantis is such a good jumper that he can jump onto ceilings and walk on them, meaning he has more movement options. Master Mantis is unlocked at the Super Hard stage.

6 Lulu

Lulu WarioWare

This feisty little girl has a hatred for Wario but an undying affection for Young Cricket. Lulu is capable of walking and can jump an infinite number of times just by holding down the A button. While in midair, she can also ground pound by holding down on the control stick. This not only speeds up how fast she falls, but also damages anything below her. Lulu is unlocked at the Thrill Ride stage.

5 Penny

Penny WarioWare

Penny is a small girl taking on a big world with her inventions, and she says they're guaranteed to be 100% not entirely lethal. With her latest invention, a water gun strapped to her back called the Jet Tank One, she has one of the most interesting play styles. The player controls her by firing water in the opposite direction they wish to go, and the recoil pushes her. The water can fire in any direction Press the A button to have her hover in place, where her movement will be completely locked.

The water from the Jet Tank One not only gives Penny mobility, but it also damages enemies and obstacles. Certain microgames that require water become a breeze with her around. Penny is unlocked at her respective stage, which opens after Thrill Ride.

4 Pyoro

Pyoro WarioWare

The main character of the most successful game series in the WarioWare universe, Pyoro is a small red bird who cannot jump or fly. However, it can stretch its tongue diagonally upwards all the way to the top of the screen, where it will ricochet off of any walls it touches and hit anything around it. This gives Pyoro one of the highest learning curves of any character in the game, as mastering where to aim the tongue takes a lot of getting used to. Pyoro is unlocked after finished Story Mode.

3 Wario

Wario WarioWare

The star of the show himself, Wario can fly anywhere on the screen and can dash directly left or right, depending on which direction he is facing to destroy obstacles, collect items or defeat enemies. He is the first character unlocked, as he is playable from the start of the game.

2 Mike

Mike WarioWare

A karaoke robot built by Dr. Crygor was originally designed only to clean his lab, which Mike didn't like very much. He can fly in any direction and can fire an infinite number of projectiles directly upwards, essentially making him a more controllable version of 9-Volt. Mike is unlocked at the first remix stage.

1 Ashley

Ashley WarioWare

Recognized as one of the best characters in the series, this young witch has enough time to rule the world and still finish all her homework. All of this shows with her playstyle. Ashley can fly around the screen on her broom in any direction, and can fire attacks from her wand in any direction. This is a powerful combination, especially considering that not too many characters have both of these traits. Ashley is unlocked at the same time as Jimmy T. and Orbulon.
