In 2013, Digital Extreme launched Warframe, a free-to-play multiplayer action RPG. For the past several years, the developers have been constantly adding new content to keep the game updated. This gives players more options and experiences to explore, while they level up their skills and sink their teeth into the rich lore that the game provides. Yareli is a new Warframe recently added to the game's unbelievably huge roster. She's agile, strong, and uses the ocean to devastating effect.

As expected, a Warframe this strong needs the players to work to be unlocked. Moreover, she's not that easy to use. Fortunately, there are ways that players can utilize her abilities and decimate their foes — all while maintaining the elegance of this new Warframe.

Obtaining Yareli

Players need to do a substantial amount of work to unlock Yareli. They require her Neuroptics, Chassis, Systems, three Orokin Cells, and 25,000 credits. Before anything else, though, players need to obtain the Blueprints for Yareli, which can be found after they complete the Waverider mission.

After this lengthy quest and the gathering of the rest of the components, players can head back to their Orbiter, where the crafting process begins. Crafting Yareli will take the players at least 72 hours. Players can while away this time by completing quests and gathering as many credits as possible.

If players don't want to go through this hassle, they can directly purchase the Sisters of Parvos Riptide Pack for $39.99. This would unlock the Yareli Warframe immediately.

Using Sea Snares

Yareli comes with a host of abilities that are wired for crowd control. After crafting Yareli, an important skill for players to master is Sea Snares. With this ability, Yareli can form water globules that actively search for enemies near her. After making contact with the foes, the globules expand.

This works in two ways. Firstly, since the globules expand after contact, they make it impossible for the enemies to move. Secondly, the contact with enemies also imparts a substantial amount of damage to them. Players can use this ability if they find that they are dealing with too many foes, and want to create some space and time for themselves.

Riding Merulina

Yareli can conjure the powers of the ocean to destroy her enemies, and another ability that comes along with this enables players to ride Merulina. Merulina is an ocean-based lifeform that helps Yareli add to her already frightening agility. As Warframe allows players to ride on hoverboards (called K-Drives), this is Yareli's version of the same.

Merulina also increases the durability of players using Yareli, as they can absorb more damage from the enemies' onslaughts. It can be slightly complicated to manage Yareli and Merulina together at the beginning, but it is most definitely worth the effort.

Using Riptide

This is another of Yareli's water attacks, and it can cause copious amounts of damage to the enemy. The Riptide ability creates a large whirlpool that drags the enemies in together, and then damages them by blowing away in a burst of water. It works well as another crowd control ability, and players can use it to deal with large amounts of enemies simultaneously.

This is one of the more powerful abilities in the game, as the damage of this vortex of water increases with the increase in the number of enemies trapped inside it. Players should use this ability with a large bulk of enemies in front of them for maximum efficiency.

Strengths And Weaknesses

Yareli may not seem like an extremely powerful Warframe at first — but that's because she is most effective when dealing with a large number of enemies. Her abilities enable her to move around quickly and dispatch large groups of enemies, as described above.

Players using Yareli will have to struggle a tad if they want to deal with scattered enemies who are quite powerful. Her Passive Ability helps her deal more damage with more mobility. Essentially, the more she moves, the more damage she can inflict while quickly running rings around her foes.

On the flip side, Yareli's abilities take a while to get habituated to using. It's rather easy for players to miss their targets while using an ability such as the Sea Snares. Yareli can take some practice to master, but her crowd control potential is worth it.

How To Build Yareli

Yareli has to be built around her agility and her crowd control abilities. Her health and durability will not be able to handle too much damage, so players have to keep moving constantly and strike first to deal with enemies. The best way to play with this character would be to compensate for her lack of health and defense by upgrading her energy gains and shields.

Auxiliary mods such as Quick Thinking and Power Drift will also be useful for this Warframe. Combining these upgrades with the ability to use Merulina will work best for players who are looking for fast-paced action and raining critical damage on their opponents.
