Thankfully, there are many games that execute at least one ingredient of Warframe's recipe for runaway success incredibly well, so players are bound to find something they'll enjoy. Featuring a wealth of challenging boss fights and some amazing co-op gameplay to boot, it's easy to see why Remnant: From the Ashes was such a breakout hit. To make things even better, the sequel upped the ante to make it even more engaging to play through this amazing title.

Left 4 Dead opened the floodgates for tense first-person gameplay with a group to become something that most people desired. Suffice it to say, a lot of games have tried to emulate this four-person shooting gameplay with interesting twists of their own. One such title that has been an immense success is Deep Rock Galactic.

The premise of this title is pretty amazing as is. The idea of space dwarves going to hostile alien worlds in search of valuable materials while thwarting the many alien lifeforms that stand in their way makes for a great time that fans simply can't get enough of. Any fan of intense, rewarding cooperative shooting action will love what Deep Rock Galactic brings to the table.

Action-Packed Roguelike With Intense Third-Person Shooting Action

Indie gaming has led to the rise of several genres that are pretty engaging in their own right, with the roguelike genre being a great addition to gaming as a whole that fans can't get enough of. This type of gaming covers the lack of manpower indie studios have while letting players enjoy a slow, gradual sense of progression as they slowly but surely get better in a game before eventually attaining victory after numerous losses.

The fact that bigger studios are trying to make their own games in this genre is a testament to how massive indie gaming has become, with Returnal being one of the very best games players can check out if they want to enjoy a AAA roguelike title. Fans will love going through the game's progressively harder stages, attaining a ton of loot and power-ups along the way. A Quirky Co-op Shooter With A Timeless Art Style and Hilarious Writing

Although the original Borderlands was a blast and Borderlands 3 offers a lot of fun, there is something truly special about Borderlands 2. The title perfected the Borderlands formula and introduced a small array of new mechanics. It had a better hub world, a wide map, and multiple locations for players to explore and fight through. There are plenty of bosses to battle, tons of different loot types to collect, and an amped-up version of Borderlands' unique and chaotic brand of humor.

Similar to Warframe, Payday 2 also focuses on working as a unit and delivers its entertainment value through elements found in the environment. Payday 2’s charm lies in the teamwork involved, although players can work alone as well.

By completing heists, more options become available, leading to greater playing value. The number of ways the heists can be completed is one of the biggest selling points for the game. Not to mention the thematic qualities that are aligned with Warframe despite the vastly different backdrops for the games.

Despite the fanbase it’s collected, there’s no doubt the backstory of Warframe being about a race of warriors from the past fighting in the future is bizarre. Due to this, fans will like Saints Row 4 for its similarly ridiculous concept of fighting an alien with superpowers while controlling the president as the playable character.

It doesn’t have the same shooting mechanics as Warframe, but Saints Row 4 can be considered as a palette cleanser of sorts for delivering the massive environment fans went along with its own take in gameplay.

A Phenomenon That Started Out As A Battle Royale Game, Now Featuring Many Other Multiplayer Game Modes

Most won’t need an introduction to this game, seeing as it has hundreds of millions of players. Fortnite can be considered as Warframe’s scale taken to over-the-top levels, as the gameplay is essentially a grand battle royale.

It has had distinct versions released, ranging from fighting zombies to creating new worlds and engaging in last-man-standing contests. With so many players participating at the same time, there’s a lot of action to be found here.

A Multiplayer-Focused Game That Was Maligned At Launch But Is Pretty Fun Right Now, Despite A Small Playerbase

Essentially the same as Warframe, Anthem revolves around characters known as Freelancers who wear exosuits to fight against numerous foes who threaten humanity. Anthem has the basic premise of a game of its genre, complete with online multiplayer.

There are other gameplay techniques like RPG elements and romantic subplots, although the main focus remains on exploring the world and heading into battles with other players.

A free-to-play game like Warframe, Let It Die doesn’t have as much versatility as Digital Extremes' title. However, for those who are fans of games with plenty of levels and a difficult gameplay experience, this one is the best option.

Let It Die has role-playing elements to go with the hardcore action involved. Let It Die’s combat is closer to something like Dark Souls than Warframe, but its seemingly endless foes set Grasshopper Manufacture's game apart.

A Fun MMOFPS, With Micropayments Being The Only Annoyance In An Otherwise Solid Game

It can be argued that Warface and Warframe are dissimilar, and it's only the name that bears a resemblance. However, it's hard to ignore that they both came out in the same year and have comparable gameplay.

The sequel to Titanfall was an instant classic. The decision to add a single-player campaign and polish the multiplayer was gaming ingenuity. A blend of player versus player and titan versus titan combat creates a mind-blowing experience.

Warframe enthusiasts will find delight in playing Titanfall 2. Both games contain a futuristic setting, with Titanfall 2 on a distant planet and Warframe in outer space.
