Warframe Update 30 has arrived, bringing a new character, a new weapon, and a new quest to Digital Extremes' free-to-play looter-shooter. Released back in 2013, Warframe had a rocky start, but has been slowly gaining in momentum. By 2019 it was Digital Extremes' most successful game, with nearly 50 million players logging in that year.

The reason behind that growth is the steady stream of updates that the game has received, vastly expanding its original content. Update 30 may be fairly minor in comparison to previous updates, but it does add a brand new Warframe, Sevagoth. Here's how to unlock and build him.

Call of the Tempestarii

To discover the dark helmsman Sevagoth's main blueprint, players will need to complete the new quest added in Update 30. Call of the Tempestarii is an optional, solo-only quest in which Corpus captain Vala Glarios sends players to find the legendary vessel Tempestarii. The mission can be acquired directly from the Codex, but it does have some prerequisites; to take part, players must own a Railjack, have completed The Deadlock Protocol, and be Mastery Rank 4.

The mission itself is fairly straightforward, and players should be able to complete it in around an hour. During the mission, players will encounter Sevagoth's Shadow, and be rewarded with Sevagoth's main blueprint at the end. In addition, players will also receive the Tempestarii Railjack Skin, Sevagoth's Prex and Sevagoth Statuette Orbiter Decorations, and The Cold Below Captura scene.

Building the Dark Helmsman

Once players have acquired Sevagoth's main blueprint, they'll need to grind for the new Warframe's sub-blueprints. These can only be acquired in Void Fissures, also known as Void Storms, in Empyrean missions. Specifically, they can only be acquired in Pluto Proxima, Neptune Proxima, and Veil Proxima Storms.

At the completion of each Void Storm mission in these areas, players will have a 10% chance of acquiring the Chassis, Neuroptics, and Systems Blueprints for the new Warframe. It's important to note that these are three different 10% chances, so it's possible, if extremely unlikely, for a player to collect all three Blueprints after a single mission. Once a player has collected all the Blueprints for Sevagoth, all they need to do is manufacture the Warframe using these ingredients:

Sevagoth Chassis

  • 8 Morphics
  • 650 Cryotic
  • 2 Nullstones
  • 3300 Alloy Plates

Sevagoth Neuroptics

  • 6 Neural Sensors
  • 1200 Titanium
  • 750 Rubedo
  • 2750 Salvage

Sevagoth Systems

  • 2 Argon Crystal
  • 250 Oxium
  • 15 Asterite
  • 2950 Nano Spores

In addition to the materials above, each of the sub-Blueprints will require 15,000 Credits to manufacture. Finally, the main Blueprint requires not only the three sub-parts, but also 25,000 Credits and 3 Orokin Cells.

Warframe is now available on PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
